Cane Creek presses forward in suspension development by releasing the DBair at the 2011 Eurobike show

NC –August 31, 2011— Enthusiasm is high as Cane Creek introduces DBair,
a monumental advancement in rear suspension. Weighing in at
approximately 526 grams, DBair is the first air-sprung shock to offer
four-way independent adjustability by utilizing the class-leading
damping system of Cane Creek’s Double Barrel coil shock.

Six years
ago, the Double Barrel revolutionized rear suspension by enabling
riders to personally tune their shock precisely for the geometry of
their bike and riding style. Cyclists strongly embraced this new
benchmark in shock performance and tune-ability. However, the linear
spring rate of coil shocks can prove to be sub-optimal on frames that
are designed for air-sprung shocks. Cane Creek recognized this need and
has raised the bar again.

The DBair is unique in its ability to
independently fine-tune high and low speed compression and rebound as
well as air volume. Using the clearly marked external adjusters, a rider
can create the exact feel they want without having to send the shock
back for factory alterations. Cane Creek is excited to introduce the
newest member of the Double Barrel family.

is the ideal compliment to our suspension line,” says Malcolm Hadley of
Cane Creek’s suspension sales team. “Ensuring the DBair measured up to
the standards and quality of the Double Barrel was a top priority. We
are confident that we have achieved that goal”.

“There has been
quite a bit of buzz about the DBair. My favorite feature is how we’ve
made it possible to match the small bump sensitivity of a coil shock,”
added Devon Sullivan, Cane Creek’s Suspension Design Engineer. “This is
rare in air shocks, and our development team felt it was a critical

“Two years ago, our company set out to become the
leader in premium suspension products,” shared Scott Sonnone, Cane
Creek’s President. “With a solid foundation in our Double Barrel
technology, the DBair is the logical next step in pursuit of this goal.
We will continue to invest in this endeavor and are committed to
continuous innovation in bicycle suspension.”

Following its Eurobike introduction, the DBair will be available for purchase in early 2012.
