Industry Nine – Sea Otter 2012

by Brian Mullin on April 25, 2012

Industry
Nine had some 650B wheels on display, using the Stan’s Flow rims. I
spoke with them about 650B, and they said it was quite easy for them to
produce, as their proprietary aluminum straight pull spokes are just cut
to different lengths, so it’s a simple manufacturing process to alter
them for any wheels size. I am thinking of running a 26 rear and 650B
front on my Ibis Mojo HD, and an Industry Nine AM front with a 15mm TA
should be a perfect accompaniment. Jake of I9 showed me some grease made by Dumonde Tech they have
that is specifically for freehub’s, and the next time I have my Industry
Nine wheels torn down for maintenance I’ll try out the lube.

They
have two new color options for this season, including the dazzling “Red
Eye.” The additional $150 charge gets you the Industry Nine “Red-Eye”
wheelset, with the vivid and noticeable bright-red anodizing.
