Magura USA launches the Vyron MDS-V3 in the USA and Canada
Everything about the wireless dropper seat-post has been improved: its extension is faster, the actuation is more responsive, and the remote has been completely redesigned with a focus on ergonomics and can be utilized with Magura’s shiftmix adapter for their MT Brakes.
The MDS-V3 is now powered by a replaceable CR2 battery estimated to last up to one year (9000 cycles). The seat-post is available in four different travel options: 100, 125, 150, and 175mm. As many of you know, the Vyron MDS-V3 (Magura Dropper Seat-Post Version 3) was officially launched at Eurobike in 2022. However, the launch of the MDS-V3 in North America was delayed due to Bluetooth licensing logistics that needed to be addressed for the US market. Magura USA anticipates having MDS-V3s in stock by the end of Q3.
Magura USA hopes to offer customers the opportunity to pre-order the MDS-V3 in May. The Vyron MDS-V3 will have a US retail of USD 649.

First, Thumbs On, Then Thumbs Up
The remote is ergonomically placed on the underside of the left handlebar, and it’s oh-so-easy to reach and is mounted with a MAGURA Shiftmix clamp. The remote uses a coin cell battery, which is simple and decently compact. The remote is compatible with Magura Shiftmix and SRAM Matchmaker, while the option of a single clamp is available.
Impressions => This was briefly used with the Vyron MDS-V3 mounted on a stand. The new remote was ergonomic, with a wide sculptured shape, and it offered a good tactile response, with just enough resistance for a reassured movement. With the remote engaged, the saddle dropped smoothly. Micro engagement with the saddle weighed allowed an infinite fine-tuning of travel placement, while an unweighted saddle quickly popped to the topmost position. Letting go of the remote lever locks the saddle into its current location.
