Just In – K-Edge Stem Mount for Garmin Computers

K-Edge Stem Mount for Garmin Computers – Fixed and Adjustable

K-Edge
produced some of the first third party mounts for Garmin computers, and
their CNC machined aluminum mounts are tough, stable and secure. I reviewed their first foray of the Garmin mounts K-Edge Computer-Mount-for-Garmin-Edge about a year ago, and I found it to be durable and tough, with
rock solid stability, which offers a functional forward viewing
location. Since that time, they have refined their mounts, and the old
aluminum interface, have
been replaced with a user-friendly plastic interface. I did a quick
‘Just In’ of their latest iteration of the forward location model this
summer: First Look – K-Edge Handlebar Mount
Their
latest Garmin computer mount is attached onto the bikes stem, and it
comes in two versions; a fixed and an adjustable. These new models look
like real winners, since having the computer residing on the stem
protects it from getting damaged and abused. I am looking forward to
spending some quality time testing these units out once the local
temperature stay above 0 degrees.

From the K-Edge website:

Professional
grade mount for Garmin Edge and Forerunner 310XT GPS computers. CNC
machined from billet aluminum with an advanced injection molded Garmin
interface for securely holding your Garmin computer.

 The NEW
K-EDGE Garmin MTB / Stem Mount is an advanced upgrade solution for
cyclists who prefer their computer above the stem. This mount is
especially useful in fitting the larger Garmin 510, 800, 810 size
computers above an array of stem configurations. Mounting off of the
steerer tube, the mount replaces a standard 5mm spacer, and is locked
securely in place by the top compression cap.

The K13-520 is
a Fixed version and is recommended for zero degree or negative degree
stem angles. Can also be used with positive degree stems if additional
spacers (5mm to 10mm) are available above the stem. The K13-530 is an
Adjustable version and is recommended for +/- 20 degree stem angles,
dependent on bike setup. The adjustable pivot allows the computer to
match the stem angle and accommodate stems that have a positive rise.
