Press Release

Setting
its sights on worldwide endurance mountain biking domination, Team
Topeak-Ergon Racing is pleased to announce the signing of American
endurance specialist, Jeremiah Bishop. Citing Bishop’s stature as one of
the top athletes in the American endurance scene, the Koblenz, Germany
based team expects to contend for the title of USA National Marathon
Champion.

Bishop joins Alban Lakata (AUT), Kristian Hynek (CZE),
Robert Mennen (GER), and Sally Bigham (UK), to form an ultra-endurance
powerhouse for 2015 and pose a credible threat for podium spots at the
most iconic endurance races across the planet. For Jeremiah this
presents the opportunity to participate in major events outside the
United States.

“This is a very exciting step for me,” notes the
reigning National Ultra Endurance Mountain Bike Race Series
champion,“With the support of an incredibly professional team, the best
partner products and amazing bikes from Canyon, I can now ride and
compete at the toughest races on the planet. My schedule is filled with
bucket list races all over the world—I’m really looking forward to the
challenge.”

Team
manager Dirk Juckwer is equally enthusiastic: “Finally we have the
opportunity to start with two strong male teams at all the big stage
races. This allows much more room for tactical and technical racing, the
importance of which was made abundantly clear during Robert and
Kristian’s victory at Absa Cape Epic last year.

Jeremiah’s first
official competition with the team is already in progress. He toed the
line in Topeak-Ergon kit at Andalucía Bike Race, currently being
contested this week in Spain. This six-day stage race around Cordoba is
considered as the perfect preparation for the Absa Cape Epic, taking
place just a month later in South Africa.

After
the early season racing campaign across the Atlantic, Jeremiah will
return to the USA to focus on events in the National Ultra Endurance
Series, plus the Breck-Epic and other popular endurance events with
Topeak-Ergon USA teammates Dave Wiens, Yuki Ikeda, and Jeff Kerkove.
