X-Cog 44T Sprocket for XX1/X01 Cassettes

OneUp your XX1/X01 cassette with the X-Cog 44T expander sprocket. Extend the life and range of your 10-42T cassette by replacing the aluminum 42T with the X-cog 44T sprocket.

Riders who spend a lot of time in the 42T can wear out the Aluminum sprocket faster than the rest of their steel cassette. Instead of throwing away a $400 USD cassette that’s 90% good, the X-Cog lets you get rolling again for $90.

Grams thoughts => OneUp has rolled out with another winner with the new X-Cog 44T ER sprocket (shipping April 23rd). Besides being able to extend the life of the expensive SRAM 11-speed cassettes, you’ll get a wider range and some better granny gear extension for us mere mortals. I don’t like the way a 28T front chainring spins, so I like the idea of a 44T rear for the ultimate in climbing ability. It doesn’t look too tough to pop off the old 42T from the 11-speed cassette and replace it with the new 44T one. I am looking forward to a real world test of this 44T cog from the excellent hands and minds of OneUp.

The X-Cog provides more range, not just an easier granny gear. The increased range is a must for racers looking to maximize their chainring size for timed downhill sections, while still being able to conserve energy on transition stage climbs. Got cows? Ride on!
