Honey Stinger Gluten Free Wildflower Honey Waffle

Honey Stinger has added Wildflower Honey as a new flavor to their Gluten Free Organic Stroopwafel product suite. The traditional stroopwafel originated over 200 years ago in the Netherlands and was a waffle made from two thin layers of baked batter with a syrup filling. Honey Stinger’s version uses organic honey and other organic ingredients rather than syrup, making Stinger Waffles certified USDA Organic. The Honey Stinger Gluten Free Waffles are available now for $1.49 each or a 16 pack box for $23.84 and come in three flavors, Wildflower Honey, Cinnamon, and Salted Caramel.

Taste Test

The Gluten Free Organic Stinger Waffles are delicious, and I couldn’t tell any difference between their standard product and these. I am happy this product came out since I missed getting to eat their waffles after being diagnosed with Celiacs a couple of years ago. The Wildflower Honey has a stronger overt honey taste than the sweeter Salted Caramel and spicy Cinnamon flavors. Here is one of their mouth watering quotes “A thin layer of our wildflower honey sandwiched between two thin waffles. The gluten free version of our number one selling original Stinger waffle flavor will satisfy your taste buds and keep you going as an afternoon snack, during your favorite activity or go great with your cup of coffee or tea. Certified Gluten Free.”

Topical EDGE Sports Performance Lotion

Topical EDGE is a new pain relieving athletic performance lotion that allows athletes to perform their best in training and competition by reducing blood lactate by more than 15 percent and is certified by Informed-Sport as free of banned substances.

AmperSand Biopharmaceuticals, LLC announced that Informed-Sport, the leading quality assurance program for sports nutrition products, has certified Topical EDGE as a product that is free of banned substances. Developed to help athletes train harder for longer, Topical EDGE is a pain relieving athletic performance lotion, powered by sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and menthol, which is clinically proven to reduce lactic acid buildup in the muscles. The Informed-Sport certification of Topical EDGE provides assurance that the product has been tested for substances on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) list of banned substances and is safe for athletes to use.

Topical EDGE allows athletes to perform their best in training and competition. An initial independent clinical study showed that Topical EDGE reduced blood lactate by more than 15 percent. This decrease in the buildup of lactic acid in the muscles is what leads to reduced pain and fatigue, and improved exercise performance. Independently tested on competitive cyclists, Topical EDGE is the only sports performance lotion on the market that is clinically proven to work.

By applying EDGE lotion to the major muscle groups at least 15 minutes before a workout, athletes can train harder for a longer period. One application supports a multi-hour workout. Additionally, legs feel fresher the day after exercise because EDGE prevents the muscles from reaching the point of acidosis.

Topical EDGE is sold in a 5-application box for $29.99. It is available online at topicaledge.com for shipping throughout the U.S. and in cycling and sports equipment stores across the country.

The Science Behind Topical EDGE

During strenuous exercise, muscles need more oxygen and energy than the body can deliver, which leads to the production of lactate and hydrogen ions (commonly known as lactic acid). With continued exercise, the body begins buffering lactic acid with its own naturally occurring bicarbonate. When this bicarbonate runs out, lactic acid builds up, and acidosis occurs. Acidosis reduces energy generation, the ability of muscles to contract, and oxygen transport from the lungs to the muscles, which trigger pain and limit athletic performance. EDGE combats lactic acid buildup by adding to the body’s bicarbonate pool so athletes can perform harder and longer, and recover faster the next day.
