The Camelbak L.U.X.E, H.A.W.G, and M.U.L.E packs get a considerable tweaking, with the reservoir location being moved down low and horizontal and a rollout helmet carrier and overflow storage. They’ve added a women’s specific edition of the excellent Chase Bike Vest, the minimalist Podium Flow Belt hip pack, and redesigned their Podium water bottles.
Low Rider Packs
They’ve redesigned their Low Rider packs including the H.A.W.G LR, M.U.L.E LR, and L.U.X.E LR. These are some of the best packs on trails across the globe, so choosing to make changes to such successful products doesn’t come without serious debate and consideration. Each pack remains committed to equipping the rider with the lowest center of gravity possible by housing the Crux Lumbar Reservoir low in the pack with an integrated compression system. With a sleek design, the new Low Rider packs are much more focused on streamlined and fast aesthetics on the outside, with all of the tech and innovation housed on the inside.
The unique Dual Wing Belt makes both reservoirs and packs compression effortless with a single movement accomplishing both tasks. The H.A.W.G LR has a 20L capacity (17L cargo/3L reservoir), the M.U.L.E LR a 15L, (12L cargo/3L reservoir) and the women’s specific L.U.X.E LR has 14L (11L cargo/3L reservoir).
Women’s Chase Bike Vest
The Chase Bike Vest takes its design queues from running vests and is based off their Circuit Vest running pack. The Chase has been tailored to be a cycling specific pack with functional pockets on the main body and shoulder harness, a 1.5-liter reservoir, and its built with tougher materials for robustness. Having decently sized pockets on front and back helps distribute weight more evenly for improved stability and comfort. The mesh back panel and shoulder straps are soft, conformable and comfortable and offer exceptional ventilation. The vest rides higher up on the back than a regular pack, so it doesn’t utilize a waist belt and instead uses dual sternum straps for stability and security. Additionally, with it high on the back location and it’s short length you can still access your bottom jersey pockets.
Podium Flow Belt
Camelbak has a new minimalist hip pack that utilizes a water bottle instead of a reservoir for fluids. It comes in three color schemes and has a 2L cargo capacity and includes the new Podium Dirt Series 21 oz water bottle.
It features an integrated tool organization, a secure zippered pocket, a secure and easy to access water bottle pocket and a breathable air mesh back panel.
