Giro was showing three new gravity-oriented mountain bike shoes at the Sea Otter show, including the flat pedal Riddance and Riddance MD, the upgraded clipless Chamber II and finally the all-around flat pedal Jacket II.
Chamber II
The new clipless Chamber II is an upgrade from its predecessor the Chamber and it gets a new 10mm cleat setback, Megagrip ISR rubber outsole, heel and toe protection from the Rockprint material, and Tri-Molded internal shank for optimal stiffness and flex.
The Chamber II shoe brings the best aspects of our EWS and DH World Cup-winning Chamber – the secure fit, water-resistant reinforced microfiber upper and incredibly durable construction with a full Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole – and steps up with a 10mm cleat setback. More setback allows you to position the pedals further back under the arch of the foot to reduce fatigue and enhance positioning for technical terrain.
The internal shank has also been updated with a Tri-Mold construction that optimizes stiffness and flexes for each zone of the foot. The result is a new level of performance that’s better from top to bottom, with the right amount of flex for uphill pushing, incredible pedaling efficiency and a better connection to the pedals.
They weigh 510 grams and come in sizes 35-50 and Dark Shadow Black And Blue Jewel/Midnight colors scheme and retail for $150.
Riddance and Riddance MD
The flat pedal Riddance series gets the Megagrip ISR rubber outsole, heel and toe protection from the Rockprint material, and an optimized EVA midsole.

For those wanting more ankle protection, coverage and leverage capabilities the mid-high top Riddance MD version will likely fit the bill. They weigh 445 grams and come in sizes 36-50 and Dark Red/Black, and Dark Shadow/Black color schemes and retail for $140.
Jacket II
The Jacket II is the “daily driver” of our footwear line, at home on the pump track, the shop floor and over doubles on the trail – or at the pub.
