Features

The Cycle Cube weighs 2 lbs/.93 kg, has a 3110 in3 /51 L capacity and measures 15” × 17.5” × 11.25 ” (L × H × D) and offers excellent functional storage, keeping all of your essentials available for your next bike ride.

The bag was designed with specific organizational pockets, sleeves, and compartments for apparel, helmet, shoes, electronics, food, sunglasses, goggles, etc. The highly functional Tri-panel load access system keeps your gear separated for quick access and easy organization while the die-cut front ventilation holes allow for more breathable storage. The main has an integrated interior divider for shoes, clothes and a helmet while the side compartments have a plethora of organizer pockets for tools, food, and accessories, including a padded sunglasses pocket. The bag is made from tough 150d Poly Baby RipStop Nylon for longevity and wear, and abrasion resistance along with a more pliable a 210d Nylon Liner and the divider utilizes PE Foam.

Storage

The pack has three prominent zippered storage sections; a large main compartment with a movable divider and two side compartments that open clam shell styled with multiple pockets and sleeves with lots of room for gear.

The primary compartment top flap opens up with a three-sided zipper and features a deep cubical chamber with a single Velcro adjustable divider, and the main section is ideal for shoes and helmets and other large items.

The two side compartments can be fully opened, and their outer flaps lay down flat for easy access.  One of the sides has four smaller mesh pockets on the flap and a larger mesh pocket on the inner body, making them all perfect for smaller items, tools, food, electronics, etc. The opposite side has a long mesh pocket and a secure zippered pocket on the flap and two deep sleeve pockets, the latter ones are ideal for shoes, armor and water bottles. When the side is zippered up, you can add apparel, gear, and other bulky items to their compartments. The front of the pack has ventilation ports so that the shoe/boot compartment can facilitate air entry and help dry things out, while the back side has a large zippered mesh pocket.

Bottom Line

The Mountainsmith Cycle Cube is a superb duffel and gear bag, with an incredible amount of useful compartments, pockets, and sleeves for the utmost in organizational purposes. Besides catering to my compulsive neat freak nature, this bag makes sure you never leave home without all your equipment. When you pack the bag, if you place everything in their allotted locations, you’ll hopefully won’t get out into the field and realize you forget a critical piece of gear, which can always put a damper your riding adventure, and especially regarding comfort and safety.

Before a ride, shoes, and helmet go into the main compartment with it integrated divider. Next, armor in the side sleeves, munchies, GPS computer, wallet, phone and sundry items in the mesh pockets. Lastly, stuff apparel (socks/jersey/shorts/chamois), jackets, and bulkier items into the semi-closed side compartments. At the end of the ride, everything goes back in its place, making sure nothing is left behind and making carrying the gear into the house a simple activity.,

With the Cycle Cube, you can keep all your bike gear organized in one convenient bag, so you have a place for everything and everything in its place. The Cycle Cube is fully featured and highly functional, and the well-made bag uses robust materials, zippers, and stitching for durability and toughness.
