Interbike 2018 – Ride Concepts

Ride Concepts was showing their line of progressive, high-performance mountain bike footwear with gender-specific lasts at Interbike. Rubber Kinetics formulated multiple proprietary rubber sole compounds, taking into account the dry and wet grip, operating temperature windows (ranges) and durability.

D3O protection is molded throughout insoles on all shoes to reduce impacts taken from hard landings and extended riding on rugged terrain and is employed strategically to the uppers of some models to add extra protection where needed.

The initial offering from Ride Concepts caters to both flat and clipless pedal riders, and is made up of three distinct shoe series; Session, Flow, and Launch, alongside a full line of synthetic and merino performance socks.

Session Series

Whether you’re taking laps in the park, blazing backcountry trails, or throwing high-fives, the Session series has you covered. It consists of the Coaster, Livewire, Wildcat and Hellion models.

Livewire

Combining the technical demands of big mountain riding with the style of BMX, the Livewire is a reinvented classic. The Livewire is your daily-driver, wear-everywhere, tough-as-nails, do-it-all, ninja-approved, high-performance flat-pedal shoe. They feature a micro-fiber and synthetic PU Nubuck upper, mesh toe box, PU molded toe cap, perforations for breathability, PU molded heel guard, and an EVA midsole.

Wildcat

The Wildcat is the cool bigger cousin of the Livewire. Featuring cranked-up stability and ankle protection, it’s a mid-height, sticky-soled, flat pedal brawler. They feature a synthetic PU Nubuck upper, a power strap, mesh toe box, abrasion coated toe cap, perforations for breathability, a mesh heel collar, and an EVA midsole.

Hellion

Rounding out the Session series, the Hellion is the pace-setter of the group, with an all-out emphasis on increased protection, durability, and awesomeness. For hard-charging riders who seek out the gnarliest conditions, the flat pedal Hellion ups the ante when it comes to foot comfort and pedal control. They feature a coated synthetic PU Nubuck upper, mesh toe box, perforations for breathability, an abrasion coated heel collar and coated toe cap, and an EVA midsole.

Coaster

Built from the same moisture-wicking, abrasion resistant materials as our other models, the Coaster also features an outsole and tread pattern to match. Think of the Coaster as your new pre and post-ride best friend. These will become your fave comfy slip-on sandals. It features an air mesh top strap, a hook, and loop Velcro closure, a metatarsal pad, and an EVA footbed.

Powerline (Men’s)/Skyline (Women’s)

These flat pedal beasts are packed with features like an asymmetrical medial collar for added protection, an EVA midsole for increased stability, D3O insoles for amplified shock absorption, and a molded rubber toe cap; these are big-mountain, big-move, all-star shoes. They feature a medial collar with D3O protection and impact EVA midsole, TPU laminated heel collar, action leather and TPU laminated upper, coated mesh toe, and molded rubber toe cap.

Transition (Men’s)/Traverse (Women’s)

For riders preferring the security and power provided by a clipless pedal set-up, we present the Transition and Traverse. This capable, high-performance, all mountain shoes are designed and built to dominate with the added feature of clipless pedal compatibility. Climb like an angel, descend with conviction.  The big beefy mid-rise Enduro oriented shoe features a medial collar with D3O protection and impact EVA midsole, a nylon shank, a nylon heel counter and rubber heel guard, a power strap, action leather, and TPU laminated upper, lateral side protection bumpers, coated mesh toe and side panels, and molded rubber toe cap.

TNT
