EVOC NEO 16l
For the 2019 bike season, experience the benefits of exceptional Soft Protection with the new NEO 16l. EVOC’s integrated AIRSHIELD System with its characteristic lattice structure is positioned between the pack and the rider and visible on the exterior of the backpack. This combined unit makes sure the protector is as close as possible to the entire thoracic and lumbar spine. Made of a highly resilient nanotech elastomer, the back protector can deform if exposed to tension or pressure but then returns to its original form. This material also guarantees ergo-dynamic flexibility and optimum adaptation to the shape of the spine. Also, hexagonal elements ensure optimum distribution of the impact force and 95% shock absorption. Twelve elastomer pads with mesh structure form part of the lattice layer. Strategic positioning of the pads provides for maximum carrying comfort, minimal contact points on the back and yet a snug fit is a result of the strong grip. This makes slipping of the backpack in case of a fall even more unlikely.
Thanks to the unique construction of the AIRSHIELD System, the NEO 16l allows 360° ventilation and effective moisture wicking from the back – even on strenuous bike rides. The AIRSHIELD Back Protector is made in Europe, is certified according to TÜV test standard PSA 1621-2, and can be replaced at no charge as part of EVOC’s Free Crash Replacement after a fall that caused damage to the protector.
The NEO 16l is available in two sizes: S/M for a recommended body height of 155 to 180 cm and a torso length of 41 to 48 cm and L/XL for a height of 180 to 200 cm and a torso length of 48 to 53 cm. Together with the height-adjustable hip belt (which allows for adjustment of up to five centimeters), the backpack can be perfectly adapted to riders’ body measurements – for both optimized back protection and ideal weight distribution to the hips. Extra-wide, well-padded hip wings make for a firm yet comfortable fit. With an integrated zip pocket and a flexible, quick-access mesh pocket, the hip-wings also offer additional storage space that is easy to reach even while riding.
The highly elastic AIROFLEX material on the wide hip belt allows for freedom of movement and maximum breathability. Inward facing seams together with soft airmesh fabric minimize potential pressure or rubbing. The material used for the hip wings and shoulder straps has been treated with antibacterial Polygiene®, preventing unpleasant odors. The main compartment of this EVOC pack provides space for a rider’s equipment as well as a 3-liter hydration bladder. A fleece-lined goggle pocket, a quick-access external tool compartment, two side pockets made from elastic mesh and the integrated helmet holder make the NEO 16l the number one partner for demanding freeriders. The premium backpack also features a magnetic clip for keeping the hydration hose in position and a built-in rain cover with reflective print for additional visibility and safety.
EVOC FR LITE RACE 10l
Whether you’re going up or down, the perfect enduro backpack should not shift, hamper you or stick to your back. The new EVOC FR LITE RACE 10l is an extremely lightweight, compact and flat backpack with a LITESHIELD back protector that is specifically designed to meet riders’ needs during enduro races. The main compartment can be folded out fully and has space for a 3-liter hydration bladder, besides the protector that offers 95% impact absorption. A new feature in the FR LITE RACE 10l is the tool compartment. Whereas you had to fold this compartment out in the predecessor model, it is now integrated in the front of the backpack, which means you can access it quickly, easily and conveniently via a double zipper using only one hand. When you’re in need of an energy boost, simply grab an energy bar, etc. from the nutrition compartment on the left chest strap of this “rear water carrier.”
For an even more comfortable fit, we have reduced the length of the back section by five centimeters and enhanced the ergonomics of the shoulder straps by attaching them to the top edge of the FR LITE RACE 10l. This prevents the backpack from sliding onto your neck and touching your helmet on steep and fast downhill runs. The back section is also narrower now – for even greater freedom of movement and even less contact with your back. Maximum breathability when chasing seconds is ensured through moisture-wicking 3D AIR MESH fabric in the lumbar area, on the shoulder straps, and on the flexible hip belt. The hip belt also helps transfer the main load towards the body’s center of gravity, fixing it to the hips. The LITESHIELD SYSTEM AIR features a large, central ventilation channel and ventilation grooves and EVA padding on either side, resulting in a smaller contact surface without compromising the necessary proximity to the back. Additional features include the height-adjustable chest strap, an inside pocket with carabiner for keys, a fleece-lined sunglasses pocket and a hip belt pouch with zipper.
HIP PACK PRO 3l
If it originates in Hollywood it generally requires a cautious approach but if it comes from EVOC it’s sure to be a blockbuster: The continuation of the 2017 “HIP PACK RACE 3l” success story promises to be another action-packed crowd pleaser in Spring/Summer 2019, with the HIP PACK PRO 3l and HIP POUCH 1l. Hardly surprising, because these convenient bike hip bags keep the weight off bike action heroes’ backs. Be it Mexico or Massa Vecchia: the main thing is to make sure you don’t sweat unnecessarily on bike tours in high temperatures. Even in the heat of summer, the EVOC HIP PACK PRO 3l offers maximum ventilation and minimal contact with the back – sufficient water supply included. The perforated EVA pads of the AIR FLOW CONTACT SYSTEM on the inside, with ventilation channels and mesh covering, ensure reduced contact with the body. Plus, they prevent pressure points and make for optimum ventilation. The VENTI FLAP system does the rest: adjust the distance between the hip pack and your back in no time at all, and easily loosen it for strenuous ascents and tighten it for fast-paced downhill runs. The flexible, length-adjustable AIRO FLEX hip belt deserves to be Oscar-nominated for its fit and all-out comfort. The two zipper pockets with a key holder on the belt can be opened using only one hand, making them ideal for storing your mobile phone, energy bars or other essentials that you want to access quickly. The main compartment of the HIP PACK PRO 3l has space for a hydration system that holds up to 1.5 liters of liquid. An external, fold-down tool compartment with additional zipper pocket for small parts accommodates spare hoses and multi-tools. And to ensure that you never run out of liquids even when riding in the unrelenting heat, there are two flexible pockets for extra water bottles on the right and left of the main compartment – naturally with straps and rubber retention bands because you want them to stay in place even on bumpy stretches. Ergon SM Men Series
Today you no longer need to live with discomfort when seated. The new Ergon SM Men saddles are specifically tailored to the features of the male anatomy and optimized for the requirements of mountain biking. With the assistance of the latest scientific studies and intensive prototyping our interdisciplinary development team – consisting of sports scientists, industrial designers, engineers, and test riders – have come up with a new generation of pressure-relief men’s saddles. The SM Men saddles effectively avoid discomfort and numbness for most applications in mountain biking – for most types of mountain bike riders. It comes in three models SM Sport, SM Comp, and SM Pro and two sit-bone widths, S/M (9-12 cm) and M/L (12-16 cm).
- Effective Relief – The deep and rearward increasing relief channel is complemented by a proper cut-out in the deepest spot. This construction combines all the benefits of a standard cut-out saddle without its drawbacks (often a very stiff shell), producing a particularly high degree of strain relief in the back of the sensitive perineal area. Exceedingly high pressures often are the cause for discomfort and numbness in the genital area. The cut-out enhances ventilation and avoids heat build-up.
- Shape – Through its Y-Shape the freedom of movement and legroom are maximized, while at the same time all bone structures are ideally supported.
