Thoughts => The new Big Zip EVO is a significant improvement over its predecessor. The larger diameter hose and bite valve offer a massive increase in water flow and a smoother draw, plus the shutoff valve is easier to use and more secure. The high-mount quick connect is a joy to use and makes it simpler during water refills and changeouts. The Big Zip EVO is highly recommended for any Platypus pack or anytime you need to replace a reservoir in another vendors pack.

Offered in four sizes – 1.5L, 2.0L, 2.0L (lumbar) and 3.0L – the Big Zip EVO is designed to work in all styles of packs. MSRP: $36.95 (1.5L and 2L Lumbar), $37.95 (2L), $39.95 (3L).

Platypus Chuckanut Hip Pack

A comfortable, low-profile way to carry riding essentials on quick outings, the Chuckanut allows riders to focus on the trail without the pack riding up or bouncing around. Unlike most hip packs, it comes with a .5L taste-free Platypus SoftBottle™, easing on-the-go hydration. A fleece-lined device pocket protects phone screens while an external flap compresses and secures bulky items for quick retrieval. MSRP: $49.95.

Thoughts => This is a tremendous minimalistic pack for a short ride with just enough water and storage to get you out on that adventure. The small size means it doesn’t bounce around and you barely feel like there is anything on your back.

Kitsbow Hiline Midweight Glove

There is a Rider who wants only what is necessary for grip, cockpit protection, and comfort. The HiLine uses a form-fitting strap to firmly place the glove on the hand, eliminating any gaps. Mechanix leather provides extra protection to the palm, without sacrificing “feel” and control of the handlebar. Whether whipped by brush and branches, or the constant jar of a gravel surface, the HiLine provides a barely-there cushion against the hard ride. The back and front of each finger are drilled for ventilation, to provide for moisture escape when your hands get sweaty. If they get sweaty.

Thoughts => These gloves are tough as nails and are very comfortable, though the heavier thickness makes them more functional for cooler weather and the offseasons. I’ve used them on wet and snowy days, and when there is a chill in the air when regular gloves aren’t warm enough. I have also used them for some occasional trail maintenance work, and they’re bulletproof those situations. A well made glove that will last a long time.

Specified by Kitsbow rider and product insights: built and designed by Mechanix Wear.

Let’s put the rumors to rest. Motorsports has been a big part of SPY for 25 years. To prove the point, we’d like to introduce the Foundation, the newest badass addition to our MX goggle line. Developed in collaboration with our top athletes, the Foundation doubles down on our commitment to off-road motorsports with the widest view of any moto goggle. They come with a clear lens when required, but the tinted Spectra lens provides a sharp and stunning vision during the daylight.
