FOX has expanded its superb Transfer seatpost lineup with a new 175mm drop option. Available in both Factory for $344 and Performance Series for $294, the new Transfer 175 continues FOX’s excellent reputation of smooth function and great reliability with an infinitely adjustable height design and internal or external cable routing options. Low lever force and great modulation make it easy to regulate return speed and small height adjustments.
Thoughts => For most modern full suspension mountain bikes with over 5-inches of travel, a longer 175mm dropper post is optimal, as long as it fits your frame. I’ve been highly impressed with my long-term 150mm Fox Transfer, and the cable-actuated infinitely adjustable seatpost which uses a hydraulic cartridge and a nitrogen gas spring for movement and locking are full of innovative designs and features. It has a silky smooth stroke without any stiction or notchiness and offers dependable and consistent operation. The internal piston and spool valve design provide excellent speed modulation depending on how far the remotes lever is pushed, and it was easy to make micro-alterations in the travels positioning.

FOX will have three lever options for the Transfer, two from FOX for $65 and one from Raceface for $70. The FOX lever options include a lightweight below-the-bar design for 1x drivetrains and an above-the-bar design for 2x/3x drivetrains. The Race Face 1x design features a larger lever that pivots on precision bearings for smooth action and reduced force. It also offers two mounting positions and is MatchMaker 1x compatible.
