We tested the second to smallest version, the Pocket, which is 5.2″ x 6.5″ internally and retails for $29.99. The Pocket’s size lets protect your smartphone and small electronics from the elements and the outdoor environment, organize and keep small dry items, or keep your passport and wallet safe and secure. I’ve been using mine to house my first aid kit, keeping it all in one easy to grab location, and protecting the contents and offering a clean and dry environment for the items. They feature a clear front that allows you to see through to the inside so you can quickly locate items.
It has two built-in attachment points at the upper corners and an integrated belt loop on the back, making it convenient to clip the Pocket to straps or attaching it to your belt.
The innovative patented TRU Zip slider and closure design and technology allowed them to build TRUly waterproof bags. The easy to use slide-to-secure zipper features a waterproof and dustproof seal that’s snag-proof and creates a positive and confident closure that you can feel has securely locked into place for the utmost in protection for your gear. Bottom Line
The RunOff Pocket protected my gear (first aid kit) from the elements, keeping everything dry and clean, plus it provided an excellent location to organize things. The Pocket would also be useful for smartphones, electronics, and valuable IDs such as a passport or wallet. The rear belt loop and corner strap attachment spots allow the Pocket to carried as needed, providing some extra functionality for safety and security. The translucent front provides a useful feature so you can quickly see the contents of the bag. The RunOff series comes in six useful sizes, from a wallet to a shoebox version, offering up plenty of the excellent waterproof and dirtproof attributes to protect your gear.
It’s easy to open and close the RunOff; slowly pull the cord slider to open the zipper and grab what you need, squeeze out the air, then reverse the pull direction to close the zipper, being sure to firmly lock the slider into end-stop to tightly seal it shut. The TRU Zip system is a high tech ziplock, but with better reliability and security, and sealing attributes. The Pocket bag has been pretty robust, and it hasn’t shown any signs of wear and tear and the slider and zipper system have been durable without any sealing issues during the test period. The material is still thin enough that you need to be careful to protect it from sharp objects and abrasions during use.
