The superb CamelBak Chase Bike Vest gets some new brethren for this coming year, including a larger 8-liter Chase 8 Bike Vest and the Chase Protector Vest safety version with integrated back protector. Also, the new minimalistic Stash Belt and the Women’s L.U.X.E. pack gets some updates.
Chase 8 Vest
The new Chase 8 (8-liter) vest pack takes its queues from the excellent Chase Bike Vest (refer to Just In – CamelBak Chase Bike Vest) but adds a bit more storage space for longer rides. The Chase Vest hydration packs are incredibly comfortable, light and conformable, and feature their 50 oz Cruz reservoir, which sits in a zippered pouch at the back. The vests design means it up high on the back for stability and comfort, and it conforms to the shape and oddities of your back for a great fit.
Hydration and organization for a full day’s ride. The lightweight Chase 8 Vest packs 2-liters of hydration in the Crux reservoir with Quicklink, and features 6 more liters of strategic stow options for gear, phone, fuel, and more. Small details like secure zip pockets, an integrated tool roll, reflectivity, portable pump loop, and stretch overflow pocket make a big difference. 3D vent mesh allows for cooling airflow. Sits above jersey pockets.
The pack uses their 3-D Vent Poly Mesh material on the back panel and shoulder straps which offer multi-directional ventilation and superb comfort. For stability, it utilizes an adjustable dual set of sternum straps that provide the ability to customize the fit and tune the load-carrying attributes.

Chase Protector Vest
The Chase Bike Vest series gets a protective version that utilizes their Level 2 ‘Impact Protector.’
Designed for safety and stowage, in a streamlined form factor that won’t slow you down. Chase Protector Vest positions CE level 2 center back impact protection where you need it most. Durable Nylon protects 2-liters of hydration in the Crux reservoir with Quicklink while offering all-weather abrasion resistance from singletrack switchbacks, to mud and muck. An additional 6 liters of cargo space includes secure zip pockets and integrated tool organization, keeping essentials handy. A ventilated harness and dual adjustable sternum straps customize comfort and fit, while exterior armor and helmet carry accommodate exterior bulk.
The ‘Impact Protector’ padding resides in a slot at the rear of the pack and acts as both a protection system and as a back panel.
