Wolf Tooth Components released their Precision Headsets back in 2018, and our in-depth review found them to be a superb product that even after abusive trails and heavy water and dirt impregnation, they still offered precise and smooth steering. From that same expertise and quality engineering, they are releasing an optional lower headset extender, which is compatible with most EC and ZS headsets.

These lower headset cup extenders allow you to adjust the geometry of your bike frame by increasing the effective fork length by 10mm. They allow you to do things like use a rigid fork on a suspension-corrected frame or use a fork with a shorter axle-to-crown height rather than what the frame was designed to handle. They can also be used to increase the bottom bracket height and slack the head tube angle, which improves stability on descents and at high speeds.

Wolf Tooth Precision Headsets are machined in the USA out of aircraft-grade aluminum with superior sealing for protection against the elements, and Enduro stainless-steel sealed bearings. The EC 49 version comes in Black, Red, and Blue for $54.95, while the ZS 56 comes in Black for $54.95.
