Muc-Off Disc Brake Covers

The simple but highly functional Muc-Off Disc Brake Covers will help keep contaminations off of your rotors and pads when cleaning the bike and during transportation. Their durable and reusable design means they’re fast and easy to use and help to ensure you won’t get any overspray from cleaners, polish, and lube on your wheel’s brake system during periodic maintenance. You can cover the brake assembly with a rag for protection when cleaning, but ideally, using the superb Muc-Off Disc Brake Covers are the way to go.

They fit both road and mountain bike disc brakes, are sold as a pair, and retail for $29.

The well-made and durable Muc-Off Disc Brake Covers fit all road and mountain bike disc brakes and can be rinsed and reused indefinitely. They consist of a breathable neoprene cover, a plastic base, and a Velcro closure system, making them easy to attach and detach over the front and rear brakes. Once firmly in place, they protect sensitive rotors and pads from the chemical overspray contamination of cleaners, polish, and lube used during maintenance. They’re much handier and offer more protection than tossing a shop rag over the rotor to prevent splatter.

Wolf Tooth Components Hanger Alignment Tool

The Pack Hanger Alignment Tool allows quick adjustments to be made to the derailleur hanger while on the trail or in the workshop. Alignment fixes are quick and intuitive, as you only need to adjust the hanger handle until it is parallel with the indicator rod. By using the bike’s axle for reference, you don’t need to be concerned with the wheel for making adjustments to the hanger. This new tool has included options for QR and thru axle. And for simple and durable storage, the components of this tool also nest inside of the handle.

Thoughts => Another excellent, functional and well-made tool from our friends at Wolf Tooth. You could bring this simple tool along with you on road trips since it takes up little space and makes fixing a bashed up hanger from rock encounters a breeze to solve. Plus it would be an ideal tool for the home shop.

Muc-Off Ultimate Bicycle Cleaning Kit

The Muc-Off Ultimate Bicycle Cleaning Kit contains just about every product you’ll need for cleaning, protecting and lubing your bicycle, whether its a road, cyclocross, mountain, cruiser, or the daily commuter. The kit comes in a nice plastic toolbox and includes their Bike Cleaner Spray, Sponge, Soft Brush, Detailing Brush, Two-Prong Brush, Claw Brush, Microfibre Cloth, Drivetrain Cleaner, Bike Protect Spray, and Wet Lube. Its the ideal maintenance kit to get your bike cleaned and protected for its next adventure out in the wild or buzzing around town. The Cleaners and Protective Sprays feature well-engineered and effective Biodegradable formulas and the Brushes are high quality and offer excellent functionality, all of which make for synergistic workmates.

The Muc-Off Ultimate Bicycle Cleaning Kit includes almost all of the products you need to clean, protect and lube your bike, and the accompanying toolbox is handy to hold the entire contents of the kit. It might be a bit pricey, but it sure is nice to have everything you need to get your bike in spanking clean shape. I do wish they included a Dry Lube for people that have bikes in drier climates since I rarely need a wet lubricant in the high mountain desert. I was especially fond of the highly functional and Biodegradable NanoTech Bike Cleaner Spray and Bike Protect Spray. The foaming Bike Cleaner did a great job of dislodging and loosening surface dirt and debris to make for a hands-free washing option. The excellent Bike Protect offers liquid frame protection which preserves your bike and leaves a dry, shiny, and non-sticky protective film coating which helps prevent dirt adhesion between washings and rinsings. The Bike Protect coating means that all you have to do is rinse the bike to clean off most of the crud between major cleaning cycles.
