MSR’s premium stove kit takes ultralight adventures up a notch with deluxe features that enhance your cooking experience on the trail. Sized for two but light enough for one, the kit comes equipped with MSR’s pressure-regulated, fast-boiling PocketRocket Deluxe stove that perfectly nests in the kit’s ultra-compact Trail Mini Duo Cook Set. The entire kit includes the PocketRocket Deluxe stove, a 1.2-liter cooking pot, a .85-liter bowl, and a pot handle.

The MSR PocketRocket Deluxe is an excellent three-season upright-canister stove that is compact, lightweight, and features a functional pressure regulator and piezo igniter system. It quickly boils water, works well in moderate winds, and has superb simmering control.

Ultralight backpackers and minimalist bikepackers alike will appreciate the stove’s push-start ignition, consistently fast boil times (even when fuel and temperatures are low), and broad burner for more versatile cooking and simmering. The 1.2 L pot is the ideal capacity for boiling water for two pouch meals or cups of coffee, while the included bowl adds a second eating/drinking vessel for sharing with a trail partner.

You can nest a 4- or 8-oz fuel canister inside the pot. For the 8-oz size, flip it upside down, place it into the container, and then add the stove and pot holder on top of things.

Once done, place the strainer lid on top, and put the kit into its stuff sack.

Trail Lite Duo Cook Set

The Trail Lite Duo Cook Set delivers all the lightweight, space-saving benefits of a minimalist cook set, without forcing you to be Spartan about what you cook. The system features a tall 2-liter hard-anodized aluminum pot that accommodates two and keeps the menu options open. The dish set includes two color-coded MSR DeepDish Bowls and Insulated Mugs, which nest perfectly inside the pot for all-in-one packing convenience and space-maximizing efficiency. The folding, locking handle keeps it all in place inside your pack as you cover the miles.

The Trail Lite Duo is a lovely cook kit for two people out on the trail. It includes the 2-liter pot, two color-coordinated bowls, and two insulated mugs. The bowls and mugs fir perfectly together to nest into the pot. If desired, a small stove, such as their PocketRocket Deluxe, can fit inside one of the mugs.

To nest the system together, drop one bowl into the pot, drop in the mugs so the mate into a circle, and then drop the other bowl upside down. Rotate the lid, so its notches match the outer clamp and cinch the handle downward to secure everything in place.
