The Mainers Glove is the First Offering of a New Outdoor Brand Created by Maine’s Tempshield

Tempshield®, the leader in certified products for the safe handling of cryogenic materials, will be introducing the Mainers™ glove, and mitt which is a no-compromise, 100% US-made product designed to provide the ultimate protection and performance while enjoying extreme cold weather outdoor activities. The move leverages 40 years of experience and know-how creating cryogenic protection gloves, aprons, and gaiters trusted by the US Armed Forces, NASA, NATO, the CDC, and more.

Constructed of only high-quality durable materials, both the glove and mitt feature a combination of the 4-way stretch outer fabric that’s treated with a durable water-resistant finish. Next, dual insulative layers utilize a combination of 3M Thinsulate™ and Polartec® Power Grid™ are specifically positioned to multiply warmth and increase cold protection, while a layer of breathable Gore-Tex membrane stops water from entering. Inside the glove, plush Protec® premium microfleece provides comfort, while the Dupont Silvadur™ finish prevents the growth of microbes and bacteria. On palm and fingertips, super soft premium leather provides both a dependable grip in the coldest conditions and a sturdy windbreak for activities like skiing and snowmobiling.

In addition to premiere textiles such as Durastretch® Tweave® and Gore-Tex® waterproof and breathable membranes, the pulls are manufactured using the same genuine Sterling® rope trusted by climbers, arborists, and firemen.
