Wolf Tooth 8-Bit Pack Pliers
The Wolf Tooth Components 8-Bit Pack Pliers is a lightweight multi-tool with 17 functions. Eight attachments nest inside the handles of master link pliers using magnets and a clever storage system. These attachments then fit into an 8mm ball detent swivel head with a 4mm opening for hex bits, which adds functionality to the already-versatile master link pliers.
It comes in black color with 8 accent colors and retails for $69.95.
Thoughts => This is a nice addition to their tool suite. I tested their Master Link Combo Pliers, and I found it to be a compact and well-made aluminum 6 in 1 multi-tool that was amazingly functional for dealing with minor issues out in the field. The new 8-Bit Pack Pliers takes those same characteristics and adds more usefulness, plus the slightly longer lever arm will make it easier to deal with chain links. It was easy to pop out the hex bits, the valve core cleaner, and optional chain quick-links. I liked having the 8mm hex for dealing with pedals, the small widget for spoke/valve cores, and of course, the pliers for chain links and valve core nuts.
- 17 functions: spoke wrench; valve core wrench; flat head #3.5 and Phillips #2 screwdriver bits; 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8mm hex; and T10, T25 Torx-compatible bits; install and remove master links; clear tire sealant clogs from valve stem; tighten valve stem lock nut
- Magnets keep all bits in place
- Ball detent swivel head helps access hard-to-reach places
- Handle doubles as breaker bar for extra torque when head is bent
- 8mm hex bit tested to over 40 Nm torque
- Pliers work with 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-speed master links and chains (not compatible with Campagnolo 12-speed chains)
- Master Link storage is compatible with SRAM PowerLock Link, Shimano Quick-Link, KMC Missing Link, and other similar master links (not compatible with Connex Links by Wipperman)

Fix It Sticks Ratcheting T-Way Wrench
It is faster, easier, more efficient, more portable (and prettier, too)? Fix It Sticks says yes. The new Ratcheting T-Way Wrench from the Chicago-based company is attempting to challenge the venerable 3-Way wrench.
Utilizing a T shape allows the tool to slide into a front pocket comfortably, and using interchangeable bits allows for superior adaptability. The ratcheting mechanism speeds everyday tasks like installing bottle cages while still providing plenty of reach, leverage, and flexibility. Home mechanics can outfit a complete tool kit with just a bit kit.
Impressions => The new Fix It Sticks Ratcheting T-Way Wrench tool is extremely versatile with its magnetized bit system, and I appreciated that it’s customizable, so I could choose almost any combination of the three bits on the tools ends to match my requirements. I’ve used their non-ratching predecessor for a long time and loved the tool, and this new functionality makes loosening and tightening bolts a quick and easy breeze. Just flick the small lever on the top to reverse the ratches’ direction. As with all their tool, they’re well crafted, tough, dependable, and durable.
- T-Way Wrench with a ratcheting feature added.
- Ratcheting T-Way Wrench has magnetic holders on all three ends that accept any standard 1/4″ bit.
- Reversible ratchet allows for quick tightening/loosening, even with limited clearance.
- The Ratcheting T-Way Wrench is a home/shop/auto tool that allows you to build bikes, furniture, motorcycles, etc.
- MSRP $40
Elite Byasi Tool Storage Bottle
The Elite Byasi Tool Storage Bottle is an excellent on-bike storage option that easily fits into a standard water bottle mount locations and cages on a bike. The BPA (Bisphenol-A) free polyethylene Byasi safely protects the contents from rain, dirt, and cold and hot temperature variations. The three-piece unit includes the top cap, the main bottle, and a removable internal upper divider. It comes in 550ml and 750ml sizes, white (550 only) and black color schemes, and retails for $9.99 550/$10.99 750.
The Byasi three-piece tool storage unit offers plenty of room for small maintenance tools and food, money/id, keys, and caps. The removable internal upper divider is useful for smaller items and offers a secure separation from the main compartment. If desired, you can use the full volume of the bottle by not using the upper divider. Once the top cap is tightened down, it provides a secure seal from the elements, so no moisture and dirt will get to the internal contents. The wide bottle mouth makes it easy to insert and remove all of the tools and equipment you might need when riding. The shape of the top cap with its rings and indents means it’s easier to grip and open/close. The 74mm diameter design means it’s compatible with standard water bottle cages.
Thoughts => The Elite Byasi Tool Storage Bottle is a useful storage system to carry small tools, skull caps, keys, money/id, and supplements while out on a ride. The three-piece unit features a wide mouth, so it’s easy to insert and remove the internal gear, and the upper removable divider is functional for more frequently needed items. The Byasi fits into standard water bottle cages and protects its contents from the weather and dirt. The soft-touch surface finish and the caps idents and rings make it easier to grip and open and close the bottle.
