Mountain Hardwear will be releasing the large PCT 55L pack this Spring. For Fall, they’ll have the innovative Stretchdown Light Pullover and Stretchdown Pant, the ski/snow Boundary Ridge Gore-Tex Jacket + Bib, and two ski packs, the Snoskiwoski and Powabunga.

Stretchdown Light Pullover

The stretchdown collection is welcoming its most lightweight iteration yet – the Stretchdown Light Pullover. By playing with the baffle size and developing a smaller baffled version, this pullover is ideal as a mid-layer for super chilly pursuits or solo when you post shred and need less insulation. As a reminder, the magic is in the single woven fabric baffling. It reduces down migration and cold spots while increasing durability and stretch. You get the best of ALL worlds with this weave application.

  • The exclusive stretch-woven fabric delivers incredible durable stretch
  • 700-fill RDS-certified down insulation
  • Three-piece hood for the perfect fit, with binding at opening
  • Half-zip at center front
  • Two zippered hand pockets
  • Elastic binding at cuffs and hem

Stretchdown Pant

The Stretchdown Pant brings the medium baffle to life in a long-awaited pant version. MHW has seen a ton of success with the Ghost Whisperer Pant, which inspired the design team to consider how the innovative stretchdown application could be brought to life in a similar capacity. Insulated pants can be cozy, but oftentimes what you trade is durability and stretch, both of which come in spades with the Stretchdown Pant. The durable woven nylon face fabric means you can rub up against the crag on a chilly morning without worrying your pants ripped or crouch down to build a fire and not fear you’re going to tear delicate seams kneeing and moving wood. I also envision wearing these on cold morning walks with the pups because the number of times I’ve had dog paws come clawing down leggings and snag them is too many to count, so instead of jeans, these will be next in line to protect and keep me warm.

  • The exclusive stretch-woven fabric delivers incredible durable stretch
  • 700-fill RDS-certified down insulation
  • Integrated waist belt
  • Two hand pockets

Boundary Ridge Gore-Tex Jacket + Bib

A side-country-inspired kit for resort riders who like to pop out of bounds for fresh snow and lines. It has a progressive look with dialed technical features. Full disclosure, the flannel backer on both the jacket and bib are what seal the deal. More warmth and durability than the Trico found in most kits.

  • Underarm zip vents
  • Two zippered hand pockets

PCT 55L Backpack

The PCT 55L is a tough, supportive, and versatile hauler that excels on big, rugged backcountry ventures or classic backpacking routes. It also features a subtle but pretty outstanding upgrade to the hipbelt, making it pivot not just up and down like a typically fixed point pivoting belt but in at least four directions, creating a much more natural mimic and flow way the body moves when walking.

When the only thing standing between you and that primo alpine granite is a dozen miles and a few thousand feet of elevation gain toss the rack, camp kit, and the kitchen sink into our PCT 55L—a tough, supportive, and versatile load hauler that excels on big, rugged backcountry approaches and holds its own on any classic backpacking route.

  • Recycled 210D ripstop shell and 500D CORDURA® base are lightweight yet super durable.
  • Removable top lid with two zippered compartments
  • Full trampoline backpanel provides full support with unparalleled ventilation.
  • The padded, 360-degree pivoting hip belt moves with you and keeps the load centered where you want it.
  • Large front shove-it pocket with adjustable side compression straps and zippered interior pocket
  • Trekking pole/ice axe attachment loop
