Klean Kanteen recently expanded their TKWide stainless steel vacuum insulated water bottle line with new colors, designs, and caps, giving users a more tailored drinking experience. We tested their 32-ounce TKWide bottle size with the new Twist Cap, which retails for $39.95. The Twist cap features a built-in straw and easy twist closure system for a leakproof seal, along with an easy-carry swivel loop. Almost all of their bottle lineup utilizes their durable chip-resistant Klean Coat powder coat finish, developed with the support of an advanced chemical hazard assessment tool known as GreenScreen for Safer Chemicals (GreenScreen).

The vacuum insulated 32-ounce TKWide was created with versatility and portability to create the best wide-mouth water bottle for sports, hydration, and the outdoors. The almost 4-inch width of the bottom means it won’t fit in a vehicle’s cup holder, but its larger capacity wasn’t designed for that functionality.

The 32 oz TKWide features their dimpled TK Closure internal thread design with rounded lips for comfortable drinking and easy cleaning. The TK Closure interface increases thermal performance and is compatible with all TKWide caps.
It comes with the leakproof Twist Cap with built-in reusable steel straw. The bottle’s interior and straw are made from BPA-free food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, while the popup drinking straw utilizes soft, pliable silicone.
The Twist Cap can be completely broken down for easy cleaning. It’s easy to assemble and disassemble, and replacement parts are available.

The Klean Kanteen Insulated TKWide 32 oz with Twist Cap, with their Climate Lock vacuum insulation, keeps iced contents cold for up to 75 hours. The 18/8 food-grade stainless steel interior and straw is BPA-free and doesn’t retain or impart unwanted flavors. The Twist Cap top design is innovative and highly functional, and a simple twist pops up the silicone straw spout, and a reverse twist snaps it closed for a completely leakproof lid. You can even remove the integrated reusable steel straw and use it for normal drinking purposes. The offset straw placement prevents the carrying loop from interfering while drinking from the bottle. The dimpled TK Closure internal thread design is easy to use and clean, keeps things colder, and the swivel loop makes carrying the bottle extremely handy.
I used the bottle by my bedside, at camp, on hikes, and during my trail maintenance workdays to quench my thirst as needed. It kept water cold for a very long time, especially when prechilled or with extra ice. The chip-resistant Klean Coat Blue Tint powder coat finish has been durable and hasn’t suffered any dings, chips, scratches, or damage, even after significant use. There are some barely noticeable scuffs on the shiny steel bottom, but no dings as yet.
