Jackson Hole, WY-based artist Katie Lozancich is inspired by the mountains that surround her. With that in mind, she created a t-shirt series for Club Ride to express that through her work! With your support, $5 for every t-shirt sold will go back to World Ride and their initiative of helping establish bike libraries for women in new countries around the world!

Mountain biking can be an incredible experience that empowers women. It is a challenging sport and helps people overcome fears. The courage and determination that is learned through mountain biking can translate into confidence in other areas of the women’s lives that we work with.

Alpine Dream – Katie’s Inspiration

I don’t mountain bike to be the fastest person on Strava. My goal isn’t to hit the biggest jumps or be the gnarliest rider. Whether it’s my backyard trails here in Jackson Hole or a new corner of the globe, I ride my mountain bike to explore. I love the places I go and will continue to see on my bike. I used this mindset to drive the designs for this collection.

Using my adventures here in Jackson, Wyoming, as a starting point, I wanted to highlight the special moments that happen when you’re on an adventure in the mountains. I hope to capture unforgettable aspects like a sunrise in the alpine, the incredible vibrancy of blooming wildflowers, or the solitude and peace of mind one finds when they curl up into their sleeping bag after a long day of riding.

One of my favorite trails here in the Tetons is based seconds away from a campground. During the summer, it’s the best spot to gather a group of friends and party ride until the sun dips past the horizon. With the last light of the day, we then pedal back to camp to cook and relax around the campfire. These are the simple pleasures of life. Moments like this quickly teach you that you don’t need much more than a tent, a mountain bike, the mountains, and great company to have a good time. For these illustrations, I wanted to highlight that feeling of a dream base camp.
