During forest fire season in the heart of the Colorado Rockies, a group of raft guides and kayakers got together for one of the last trips of the year. While trying out a “portable” backyard fire pit, someone joked about putting the behemoth on a raft. Everyone laughed—but it sparked an idea. What if you COULD put a fire inside the most used piece of gear on the boat: the humble ammo can? Raft guides need the most rugged tools that they can get their hands on, and ammo cans find their way on rafts (and battlefields) for this reason. They are so tough you can light them on fire…so we did! history. Fire Anytime!

LavaBox is a patent-pending propane campfire inside battle-tested military ammo can (11″long x 5.5″ x 7″ high). No smoke. No embers. No wood to collect. Passes fire restrictions. Built to last a lifetime, LavaBoxes are full steel construction with no moving parts to break. The clean design is what makes the LavaBox smart and unique. A one-piece burner creates the largest propane fire in the industry. Closed sides protect the flame from wind gusts while providing generous heat. Paired with the ultra-light ceramic-weave “Hades Stones,” the LavaBox creates ambient, radiant warmth suitable for huddling around or cooking. The closed sides also provide protection and buoyancy. Yes, the LavaBox floats! LavaBox set the standard for all propane-based campfires in the Fall of 2020 and continues to innovate.

It comes in several versions: Naked Tabletop, Tabletop, The Tacoma Tabletop, Pompeii Party Pack, the Aso Super Pack, and a soon-to-be-released monster, Krakatoa FireBreather (17″ long x 7″ wide x 15″ tall).

Pact

The PACT Kit is the first all-in-one bathroom kit designed for outdoor adventures. The flagship kit includes everything outdoor enthusiasts need to make bio-breaks easier, cleaner, and more environmentally conscious. It’s as easy as Dig, Clean, and Restore.

Dig. Current trowels on the market are painful to hold and often ineffective at digging through rocky, compact dirt. PACT’s ergonomic shovel is designed to make digging a 6-8″ hole easier.

Clean. Toilet paper wasn’t made for the outdoors. So, we reinvented it. PACT Wipes are dehydrated and compressed and unfold into a 9″ towel when you add a squirt of water. The added moisture leaves users much cleaner at a fraction of the size of standard TP. The kit also includes our High Desert hand sanitizer made using biodynamically grown botanicals and the otherwise discarded alcohol from one of our favorite distilleries.

Restore. Mycelium is the root system for fungi and nature’s great decomposer. PACT Tabs use a species of mycelium to decompose human waste in the ground up to 10x faster; kill harmful bacteria (including E. coli) that can impact our public health, wildlife, and waterways; and improve the bioavailability of soil.

The kit’s contents are contained in a washable, tri-fold case that includes storage for period products and other bathroom supplies. Every kit consists of a washable trash bag for packing out anything that doesn’t belong in the ground, as well as a How-To info card so that anyone, regardless of their level of experience, can follow Leave No Trace best practices.

Oakley MOD7

The MOD7 was engineered to overcome functional limitations and social stigmas that have been hindering visor helmets for years. Designed to give a new perspective and prove performance is possible, the MOD7 features Oakley’s newest proprietary technology, Secure Connect. Using magnetic technology, Secure Connect magnetically connects and mechanically secures the visor to the helmet, both in the ride and stowed positions. This innovation led to another first, a Lens Seal Adjustment mechanism that allows the visor to be pushed back into the wearer’s face to help create a custom, comfortable seal.

The MOD7 was developed on the mountain with input from Oakley’s most committed snow athletes to prove its worth. ORTOVOX DIRACT VOICE Beacon

ORTOVOX is setting out on a new, innovative path: The DIRACT VOICE is the world’s first avalanche transceiver with integrated voice navigation and will reliably and quickly guide you to your buried companion in an emergency.

Clear, simple spoken instructions tell you what to do in every phase of your search and keep things calm when your partner’s survival is of the utmost importance. The display is exceptionally stable from first reception, which reduces stress in an emergency situation and helps speed up the search. The three-antenna device comes equipped with Smart-Antenna Technology, which analyzes the device’s location in the avalanche and automatically switches to the best transmitting antenna. This means you get up to double the range and will be found more quickly!
Thanks to its streamlined, logical design, the DIRACT VOICE is intuitive and easy to use because using just one button, you can quickly flag burial victims or switch to standby mode. Secondary avalanche protection automatically switches from search-and-standby mode to transmit mode to guarantee the searcher full protection. Even in extreme light conditions, the full-graphic, extra-large screen is easy to read and, thanks to clear instructions and a 360-degree real-time display, ensures intuitive user guidance in stressful situations.

Love Handle 7 Gear Organizer

The days of racking gear on a padded gear sling have gone the way of heavy lugged boots and white painters’ pants and bandanas. Today people get the crag, gaze up, select gear, and rack up on their harness. Back on the ground, the equipment comes off the harness and goes back in the bag to be re-organized on a gear wall at home. The Freestone Love Handle is a 9-inch-long accessory, finished with a loop of 6mm cord for racking up to 20 QD’s or a double rack of gear. The cord is secured with metal end caps. The total weight of the Love Handle 7 is 4 oz (112 gm).

The product is manufactured in two different configurations:

• The Love Handle – Bent laminated birch plywood.
• The Love Handle 7 – Recycled HDPE plastic harvested from the Edmonton Alberta landfill by Level 7 Plastics.

Comfort & Adaptability – The Samaya2.5 has been conceived to be set up easily in less than 3 minutes, regardless of conditions. It offers various storage pockets, adjustable top vents, and accessories. Depending on where you go, you can take a footprint with you to protect the tent floor on rocky ground. You can also add a vestibule for winter conditions to add a cooking area and store your luggage for more comfort inside your tent. Finally, you can add a removable mesh if you expect to encounter insects at low altitudes.
