Winter 2022 Collection
Survey MIPS Helmet
Blending its industry-leading helmet and eyewear technologies into a singular snow offering, Smith launches the new Survey MIPS helmet with an integrated ChromaPop™ visor for all-mountain use across a variety of disciplines. Skiers and snowboarders will both benefit from Survey’s in-mold construction that fuses the exterior shell and EPS foam into a one-piece design and utilizes Koroyd® – a series of crumple-zone cylinders that crush uniformly on impact – in zonal coverage for lightweight, durable, energy-absorbing, and ventilated impact protection. The addition of the MIPS® Brain Protection System also reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head in case of a crash.
The integrated visor simplifies goggle wear and offers a wide field of view with contrast, color, and terrain-enhancing definition and clarity through proprietary ChromaPop™ lens technology across a greater range of conditions. The visor is also over-the-glass (OTG) compatible to accommodate corrective frames underneath. Replacement visor lenses, including Clear for night riding, are sold separately.
Additional features of the Survey helmet include an adjustable dial fit system for easy, on-the-go size tuning, AirEvac™ ventilation and 14 vents with regulator climate control for adequate ventilation and fog-free lenses, and removable Snapfit SL2 ear pads for warmth that are also Aleck™ audio system compatible (sold separately). For young riders, the Survey Jr. helmet mimics the impact protection of its adult counterpart with MIPS® and zonal Koroyd®, while offering distortion-free vision in the integrated visor. The Survey Jr. also features Smith’s Grow With Me™ technology, offering a singular shell size with a dual-stage liner system to cover the largest size range in kid’s helmets today.

4D Mag S & Squad S Goggles For Small Fit Faces
One size does not fit all. Continuing the momentum of its award-winning and bestselling snow goggles, Smith is pleased to introduce the 4D MAG S and the Squad S snow goggles designed to fit smaller faces. Smith developed the 4D MAG to raise the bar in lens design and construction with the introduction of BirdsEye Vision, a proprietary lens shape that extends and curves below the sightline and opens a vast field of view never seen before. The 4D MAG S offers a 25% increase of field of view over the I/O MAG S and utilizes the same technologies as the original model, including Smith’s updated MAG technology for quick, easy, and secure lens interchangeability, but in a smaller format to accommodate a variety of faces. To protect and clean the lens, the 4D MAG S includes the new Smith x gogglesoc™ lens protector plus a hard case for Winter 2022/23.
The Squad S features the notable semi-rimless design and oversized cylindrical lens of its predecessor, but in a modified-for-size Responsive Fit™ frame that adjusts to the face for a precise, comfortable fit for smaller features.
Both models are offered exclusively in Smith’s proprietary ChromaPop™ lens technology in a variety of lens tints to enhance contrast and natural color and really make the details pop. Additional features include ultimate integration with Smith helmets for maximum comfort, venting, and fog-free performance, plus anti-fog lenses for increased optics.
In addition to the smaller fit designs, the 4D MAG S and Squad S goggles are also available in the new Low Bridge fit to suit an array of face shapes and features.

Smith Expands Its Over-The-Glass Goggle Offering For Snowsport Enthusiasts
Picking an ascent route, a fall line, or just navigating the trail maps through the resort all require one thing: clear vision. New for Winter 2022/23, Smith is pleased to announce two new additions to its over-the-glass (OTG) goggle offerings for snowsports enthusiasts requiring an RX solution on the mountain.
The new Sequence OTG goggles offer a medium fit in a semi-rimless frame design with a unique spherical lens shape designed to fit over prescription frames to maintain distortion-free clarity across a full range of peripheral vision. Offered exclusively in Smith’s proprietary ChromaPop™ lens technology across three tints to enhance contrast and natural color and really make the details pop, plus a Fog-X anti-fog inner lens to maximize clarity and performance.
For larger faces, or those desiring an oversized aesthetic, the new Reason OTG provides the same comfort, features, and protection as its counterpart but is offered in a full-frame design. The Reason OTG is available in Ignitor Mirror and RC36 lenses for a variety of environmental and light conditions.
Designed for ultimate integration with Smith helmets to maximize airflow and ventilation, both the Sequence OTG and Reason OTG feature an interior 2-layer DriWix floating foam membrane that further decreases moisture build-up while eliminating eyeglass temple pressure for all-day comfort.
Both OTG models are compatible with Smith’s optical docking system (ODS) prescription lens insert (sold separately), and each is available in a new Low Bridge fit to accommodate a variety of face shapes and sizes.
The new Sequence OTG ($120-$150)
and Reason OTG ($60-$85) goggles are available beginning Fall 2022 at select retailers worldwide and online at smithoptics.com.
