Osprey Announces The UNLTD Backpacks Featuring 3D Printed Technology

The future of Osprey backpacks is here. It’s their UNLTD line that uses several innovative designs that mark a high watermark for its backpacks that will trickle down to other lines in the years to come. For now, the Osprey UNLTD comes in two models — the AntiGravity 64 and AirScape 68 — each named for its unique frames and suspension system.

Osprey founder Mike Pfotenhauer worked with the brand’s international innovation team to create these packs from new fabrics and assembly techniques, as well as a 3D-printed lumbar system.
They built the UNLTD AirScape and AntiGravity for experienced backpackers and thru-hikers who would value the new designs and put the tech through its paces. The back panel framesheets emphasize load stability and ventilation while small tweaks should add durability in high-wear areas. Osprey UNLTD AirScape 68

The future of pack design is here. Welcome to Osprey UNLTD, a backpacking series designed by Founder Mike Pfotenhauer and Osprey’s innovation team who felt design capabilities shouldn’t be limited. An industry-first 3D Printed Fitscape Lumbar with Carbon DLS Technology offers superior ventilation, fine-tuned support, and an anti-slip grip. For the women’s version, the body-specific fit is crucial and the women’s Osprey UNLTD AirScape 68 features a torso, harness, and hipbelt made specifically for the female form.

The limited-production Osprey UNLTD AirScape 68 is made from state-of-the-art fabrics and features an AutoLift System that adjusts fit and harness length automatically. A High Carbon Stainless Steel Frame and Polycarbonate Vacuum Formed Framesheet support the load and manage ventilation.

A Fit-on-the-Fly Hipbelt allows for in-the-field calibration while the removable 8L top lid converts to a fully functional 18L daypack. Premium raincover and custom transit cover included.
