woom bikes launched the woom NOW, a lightweight urban commuter and cargo-bike hybrid built specifically for kids. The woom NOW is a fully loaded, highly versatile bike with a new take on frame architecture – dubbed the “cycle truck” — and is packed with special features.

Enabling unique functionalities for everything from daily urban commuting to weekend bikepacking adventures, the woom NOW combines an integrated front rack with a smaller front wheel. This feature not only offers a unique, striking design but also makes for a safe and stable ride when carrying heavy loads, promotes easier bike handling, and enables a higher carrying capacity overall. Like all woom bikes, the woom NOW is tailored precisely to the specific needs and anatomy of children. It features a relaxed geometry, with upright seating for a good traffic overview, combined with a cruiser-style riding experience.

The woom NOW is offered in three sizes:

woom ORIGINAL bikes are innovative balance and pedal bikes for kids that grow with the rider as they improve upon their technique. • The woom 1 balance bike introduces kids as young as 1.5 years to the world of cycling. This balance bike is designed to enable toddlers to easily hop on and roll away, learning how to steer, balance, and stop before pedals are introduced. The innovative rear brake teaches young riders how to operate a braking system as early as possible, preparing them for their future two-wheeled experiences. Even if a kid has just started to walk, the woom 1 gives them confidence and a sense of balance on two wheels – so they can skip the training wheels phase altogether! • For children ages 3-4.5, the 14-inch woom 2 provides a seamless transition from balance bike to pedal bike, without the training wheels — so kids feel ready to take on the world! • The 16-inch woom 3 helps kids ages 4-6 learn how to ride and continuously improve their cycling skills. The upright positioning makes it easy for young riders to maintain their balance and, at the same time, keep an eye on everything going on around them. At only 13.1lbs, the woom 3 is super light and a favorite companion for those first longer rides on two wheels. $389.

• And for older kiddos (up to age 14) who are ready to step into the world of geared riding, woom’s ORIGINAL 4, 5, and 6 models offer 8-speed gearing combined with easy-to-operate twist shifters, opening up a whole new world of discovery on two wheels and giving young riders more confidence than ever before, with the ability to ride longer distances and climb bigger hills more easily. In addition to age-specific geometry, super lightweight frames, and components tailored to children’s needs, these bikes offer adjustable Vario stems to allow for easy adjustment of both the height and the length of woom’s 4, 5, and 6 models. woom UP

woom UP is the most premium kids’ e-bike available in the US, thanks to a combination of its FAZUA drive system, SRAM NX 11–speed drivetrain, air suspension fork, hydraulic disc brakes, and woom’s ultralight aluminum frame, built specifically for kids. It’s the only kids’ e-bike that features the renowned FAZUA E-motor, making it the lightest mid-drive integrated e-bike for kids.

Intended for kids who are already experienced riders but want to go farther and ride longer, woom UP is a class 1 eMTB that provides pedal assist up to 12 mph, enhancing kids’ own natural pedaling capabilities so they can spend more time on the trails, ride alongside their parents on bigger adventures, and “up” their mountain bike game. It’s designed top-to-bottom with kids in mind: from the electric motor and app to child-friendly diameter grips, brake levers suitable for small hands, and shorter cranks. The premium 250-watt FAZUA drive system enables pedal assist in three customizable settings and is easily removable.

The woom UP is well equipped to tackle technical singletrack terrain, and can even be used as a shuttle or lift alternative for high-mountain riding.
