The Sea to Summit three-season freestanding Telos TR2 bikepacking tent features shortened poles and a modular storage system for easier packing and carrying on a bike. The tent was built for convenient transport via kayak, motorcycle, or bike and boasts a roomy interior.
The design offers multiple setup modes for extra-comfy adventures for two.
The three-season Telos TR2 bikepacking tent will sleep two and has all the same features and dimensions as the existing freestanding backpacking Telos TR2.
It features doors on both sides and a Lightbar for illuminating the interior.
The hangout mode offers a functional open shelter/tarp, though it requires optional trekking poles or their Hangout Mode Pole Set.
The tent uses a 15D Sil-PeU rainfly with a tough 20D Sil-PeU floor that doesn’t need a groundsheet, though you can add a footprint for maximum protection from sharp rocks or sticks. Their tension bar pole structure broadens the top of the tent to maximize interior space, and the tent has a tapered floor layout.
For bikepacking packability, bags and poles need to fit on the bike frame, forks, or handlebar, so they created a set of featherlight DAC poles with a 12-inch length.
The tent packs away into two waterproof eVent® dry bags for external rig attachment to keep the packed tent protected from mud, water, debris, and bushes. The dry bags can be shared among your group (aka FairShare Storage System), plus the system provides more flexible mounting options for better weight distribution on the bike. The dry bags have Hypalon reinforcement panels to give more attachment points, and include four 625mm TPU Stretch Loc Straps to attach fork legs or a rack.
