Redshift Sports Introduces the Arclight Smart LED Bicycle Pedals

Redshift Sports, the creators of performance cycling components for gravel and road, introduces the Arclight Pedals, a unique set of bike lights that take advantage of the natural motion of a cyclist. The pedaling motion creates a distinctive and instantly recognizable light pattern. This unique light movement provides a clear signal to motorists of a cyclist’s presence. Using Arclight Pedals increases visibility by up to 57% compared to standard bicycle taillights.

Arclights are a set of durable aluminum platform pedals, including 4 rechargeable and removable light modules (2 for each side) with built-in smart features and customizable flash modes.

The Arclight modules feature SmartSet technology, making the pedals simple and intuitive. This includes Auto On/Off functionality, where the lights automatically turn on when you start riding and off when you park your bike. In addition, the pedals can determine the orientation and set the forward-facing light to white and the rear-facing light to red.

Arclight pedals ship with 2 pedals (left and right), 4 rechargeable light modules, and a USB charging hub. Arclights carry a 1-year warranty and work on all types of bicycles. You can also order an additional light module and/or a multi-mount; the latter also allows an attachment to a frame or seatpost.

 

Simple to install and easy to use for all riders. The Arclight pedals are designed for all types of riding and bikes – road, MTB, gravel, urban, e-bikes, and kids bikes over certain sizes. The pedals fit any bike with a standard 9/16” interface and provide a large grippy surface.

It’s simple to remove or install the light modules for charging. The modules slide in or out and snap into the pedals with an integrated magnet.

The Arclight modules plug directly into any USB outlet for easy recharging.

• 360 Illumination – Four lights (two facing front in each pedal and two facing rear in each pedal) cast 360 of light around the cyclists, creating visibility from any angle (including the sides, where the traditional front/rear lights fail to reach.)
• Auto On/Off – The lights automatically turn on when they sense motion and automatically turn off when they sense the bike is parked.
• Auto Red/White Intelligence – SmartSet sensors dynamically change the LED color depending on orientation, so white is always facing forward, and red is always facing the rear.
• Light Modes & Battery – 3 different light modes (solid, flash & eco flash) allow for a battery life of 3, 11, or 36hrs (depending on the light mode selected.) Each light module has a built-in male USB prong for easy charging.
• Mounting System – The light modules are removable and interchangeable with our Multi-Mount to allow for additional mounting locations on the bicycle.
• Weatherproof – The pedal is made from solid aluminum and uses high-quality sealed bearings. The light modules are dust and water-resistant to work reliably in all conditions.
