The Garmin UNBOUND Gravel race took place today in Emporia, KS. Lots of rain, mud, and a few alterations to the 200 and XL courses due to flooding rivers made for an interesting set of races. Here is what we know so far.
After a sprint finish, the 2022 Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear men’s winner of the 200-mile is Ivar Slik with a time of 9:22:04, less than a second behind is Keegan Swenson of Heber City, UT, and third place is Ian Boswell of Barnet, VT.
2022 Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear women’s winner of the 200-mile is Sofia Gomez Villafane with a time of 10:27:41, less than 10 minutes behind, is a second-place finisher and former champ Lauren De Crescenzo, and third place is Emily Newsom.
2022 Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear 350-Mile XL winner is William Harrison of Charlotte, NC with a time of 20:17:29, five minutes behind was Marius Karteusch finished in the pouring rain, 2nd place for the XL with a time of 20:22:28. In third Place, Ernie Lechuga of Springdale, AR, finished with a time of 20:35:08.
2022 Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear women’s winner of the 350-mile XL is Cynthia Frazier of Lexington, VA, with a time of 22:25:18, and in 2nd place, Scotti Lechuga from Springdale, AR, finished with a time of 23:24:40.
2022 Garmin UNBOUND Gravel presented by Craft Sportswear women’s winner of the 100-mile is Marisa Boaz of Waukee, IA, with a time of 5:23:16, and in 2nd place Marjie Bemis of Corona, CA finished with a time of 5:26:29.
