LOUISVILLE, Colo. (July 8, 2022) Inspired by the Grateful Dead’s July 8 1978 show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, PEARL iZUMi is dropping its third collection dedicated to the iconic band—the Wanderer Collection.

Men’s: Summit Shell Short, Summit Short Sleeve Jersey, Summit 3/4 Jersey, PRO Tall Sock. Women’s: Summit Shell Short, Summit Short Sleeve Jersey, Prospect Tank, PRO Tall Sock

In-house designer Bri Hammer took inspiration from the word “wandered,” a lyric in the band’s song “Wharf Rat”, to name this collection. The vibrant designs featured are an interpretation of how the band’s stage lighting reflected off the two giant, iconic sandstone rocks, creating an enhanced and colorful musical experience. The collection features PEARL iZUMi’s greatest in mountain bike apparel: the women’s Prospect Tank, men’s and women’s Summit Short Sleeve Jersey, men’s Summit 3/4 Jersey, men’s and women’s Summit Shell Short, PRO Tall Sock, a water bottle, and a junior Summit Jersey.

“Nature has created some of the most beautiful places to ride. But it also has created one of the best places in the world to listen to your favorite band,” said Hammer. “Once the sun goes behind the Rocky Mountains and the lights turn on… Red Rocks Amphitheatre comes to life! I wanted to create a pattern that emulates this experience and showcases the beautiful harmony of the music, lights and rocks dancing together.”

About the GRATEFUL DEAD:

The Grateful Dead is a social and musical phenomenon that grew into a genuine American treasure. In 1965, an entire generation was linked together by common ideals, gathering by the hundreds and thousands. This movement created a seamless connection between the band and its fans. As the band toured, Dead Heads would follow. Not because it was a part of popular culture, but because it is a true counterculture that exists to this very day-one that earnestly believes in the value of its beliefs. By 1995, the Grateful Dead had attracted the most concertgoers in the history of the music business, and today remain one of the all-time leaders in concert ticket sales. Eventually, the caravan evolved into a community with various artists, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs supplying a growing demand for merchandise that connected them to the music. Today, the connection is as strong as ever. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 and received a Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007. Their final tally of 2,318 total concerts remains a world record. The Grateful Dead recently celebrated their 52nd top 40 albums on the Billboard chart, a feat no other group has achieved
