We initially saw the KS LEV Circuit at the 2016 Interbike show, but KS wasn’t happy with its performance, so they spent a few years doing a complete redesign.

The new KS LEV Circuit is an electronically actuated dropper post that utilizes a hydraulic cartridge that offers infinite adjustability and comes in 125, 150, 175, or 200mm travel lengths and 30.9 and 31.6mm diameters. The Circuit uses a piezoelectric motor powered by a removable 450mAh Lithium Ion battery; both reside in a single waterproof head unit by the saddle clamp. The battery for the motor is supposed to last for around eight weeks before it needs to be recharged. It features an adjustable air-sprung hydraulic cartridge with a maximum air pressure of 200 PSI, hard black anodized stanchions, one-way roller clutch bearings, and an alloy mast.

Depending on the travel, the LEV Circuit will weigh between 588g-726 grams and should cost around $685, with a release sometime this summer.

Impressions => My brief show testing of the Circuit dropper post consisted of several iterations of it going up and down. The lag time between the remote input and saddle movement was almost indistinguishable compared to its regular brethren. The motor made a slight buzzing noise during actuation, and the remote had a distinct button-like click to its tactile feel. Quick mini taps on the remotes paddle provided incremental movement of the saddle while holding it down pops the saddle to its topmost position.

Features:

  • Easy Bluetooth pairing.
  • Individual pairing prevents cross-interference.
  • Auto wake-up ensures immediate, no-lag actuation.
  • New internals are designed with hydraulic valves at the top of the post.
  • User-adjustable air pressure is accessed at the base of the post.
  • Removeable and rechargeable battery
  • Saddle clamp options are compatible with 7×9 oval carbon rails.
  • Battery and charger included.
  • Waterproof factor IP67.
  • Size/Travel Options:
    • Diameters – 30.9 and 31.6
    • Travel – 125, 150, 175, 200
    • Weights – 588g-726g
    • Length – 402, 452. 502, 552
    • Insert – 219, 244, 269, 294

  • Battery: 450mAh Lithium battery.
  • The typical battery charge under regular use is eight weeks.
  • The Typical charging time: 4-4.5 hours.
  • Battery light indicators.
    • 100-30% – green light.
    • 30-10% – red light.
  • Low power modes.
    • Under 10%, the power will be cut off automatically, and the button cannot be started remotely.
    • Press the motor start switch, or it can be operated.
    • At this time, the press light will blink three times as a warning.

An electronic handlebar remote communicates wirelessly via the Bluetooth 4.0 protocol to the motor’s transceiver for the dropper’s actuation. A CR2302 coin cell battery powers the large flat paddle wireless remote.

  • Powered by CR2302 battery
  • Typical standby change under normal conditions is 7 – 8 months.
  • Press the remote button to view the indicator light.
  • When the battery charge is sufficient, the light will be green.
  • When the battery charge is low, the display turns red. Actuating the remote will result in the light blinking three times to alert the user.
