ABUS AirDrop
ABUS is excited to announce its first-ever full-face helmet. The AirDrop is the new flagship helmet of ABUS’ mountain bike line and offers complete protection for the gnarliest of trails, and is packed full of features to improve the riding experience.
The fit is one of the most important criteria when choosing a helmet: and thanks to the Zoom-Ace adjustment system, the fit can be precisely dialed in. The AirDrop also includes a fully integrated MIPS system for added protection. The cheek pads are removable, washable, and come in two thicknesses for a truly individual fit. The height-adjustable visor comes with a break-away mechanism in the event of a crash. The open design on the front provides an excellent field of vision, is compatible with a wide variety of goggles, and includes an action-cam mount. The padded layers integrated into the underside of the helmet’s face guard, aptly named Collarbone Protection, protect the collarbone in the event of a crash.

The modern and stable design is reminiscent of mountain bike helmets also worn by MTB icons like Gabriel Wibmer. A reflector, the visor with break-away function and sophisticated ventilation ensure a unique riding experience. To ensure that the YouDrop fits perfectly, young bikers can easily adjust it to their head circumference using the easy-grip wheel at the back of the head. This will help them master their next trail with confidence!

ABUS CliffHanger
The CliffHanger is a deep-fitting half-shell-style helmet that gives that extra needed protection to the back of your head when riding on the trails. The weight savings are primarily attributed to the Acti-Cage reinforcement system integrated inside the EPS core. This skeleton-like structure adds strength and stability so ABUS can use less material and create 14 massive vents for air circulation. Eight huge inlet vents in the helmet’s front and sides bring in fresh cool air, while six rear exhaust vents draw out the heat. And while the three-piece in-mold outer shell design allows for various colors and gives the CliffHanger a premium finish, it also contributes to weight savings and durability.
ABUS incorporated the Zoom-Ace full circumference adjustment/retention system that conforms to the shape of your head, distributing the pressure evenly and with a twist of a dial so the helmet hovers evenly around your head instead of sitting on top like many helmets. The Zoom-Ace also adjusts vertically for a truly custom fit and allows for what ABUS calls the “Ponytail Outlet,” a much-appreciated feature for riders with long hair. The final fitment comes from the new TriVider strap adjustment system that keeps straps from twisting and flapping in the wind and comfortably positions them around your ears. And, of course, it features a magnetic Fidlock clasp, making it fast and easy to buckle and unbuckle, even with gloves.

ABUS Goose Lock
The bike lock nestles elegantly around the bike frame and then stays in the desired shape—level 7 Protection.
With the Goose Lock, ABUS has developed a dimensionally stable bike lock that is also highly appealing to the eye and the touch and features impressive coloring and design technology. It is made up of several components: the classic 6-millimeter steel chain, the gooseneck, the foam cover, and a coating made of plastic fibers. Like the housing and structural parts of the locking mechanism, the steel chain is manufactured from specially hardened steel. The term “gooseneck” refers to two metal spiral springs wound together that ensure the dimensional stability of the lock. This allows the lock to be bent into the desired shape and wrapped tightly around the bicycle frame. The foam ensures the unmistakable feel of the lock and rattle-free transport. Excellent protection against abrasion and scratches is provided by the durable, highly flexible coating made of plastic fibers. Thanks to the dimensional stability and the foam, it is effortless to transport the lock. It does not rattle on the bike frame yet remains flexible. It is available in different colors – for an individual color statement to match any bike.

Chris King
Chris King 3D Violet Components
Thirty-five years after its first appearance, Chris King Precision Components is bringing 3D Violet back as a component color for the 2023 season. First introduced in 1988, the vibrant hue was King’s first actual “color,” following the original silver and black headsets the company became known for.
Inspired by the BMX culture of the ’80s, 3D Violet became a runaway success for King. She launched the colored anodization program that has been a cornerstone of the company’s aesthetic ever since. “3D” in the color’s name refers to a specific stock anodization color. It has no actual three-dimensional effect, nor will it cause the user to shift into a third dimension (probably).
3D Violet will be available in all of Chris King’s current product offerings for 2023, including the recently re-introduced Boost 6-Bolt hubs.
Chris King MTN30 Wheels
The MTN30 is the second wheel in Chris King Precision Components’ (CKPC) new wheel lineup. Like its predecessor, the GRD23 all-road wheel, the MTN30 chases high-end carbon fiber performance with the smallest possible carbon footprint. This wheelset rolls as fast and tracks as true as any wheel on the trail without the energy-intensive, toxic manufacturing process that produces most carbon fiber wheels.
The key components are Chris King’s legendary mountain bike hubs, known for their quality, durability, and eco-friendly production, and FusionFiber. This relatively new rim material uses nylon to bond its carbon fiber structure rather than epoxy. FusionFiber is cleaner, faster to produce, less energy intensive, and magically tunable. Chris King was able to iterate multiple versions of the MTN30 rim to get just the right ride characteristics.
