This Fall, PEARL iZUMi is celebrating the counterculture origins of the sport of mountain biking with a collection that captures the radical and rebellious spirit of the first mountain bikers. The aptly named Origins Collection is available now!
Before bike parks and EWS, cush core, and double crowns, there were a handful of guys putting knobby tires on old cruisers, the godfathers of mountain biking. Mountain biking continues to be an avenue for self-expression and creativity, on and off the bike. Today’s freeride culture came from the free-thinking rebels of the 70s & 80s, and this collection embodies that spirit.

Summit Pants

It’s constructed from the same light and durable woven fabric as our premium Summit Short, with a DWR coating to shrug off moisture. Perforated panels on the inside of the legs keep these pants feeling airy, while dual Trail Access pockets hold the day’s essentials within reach but out of the way.
