Instructions:

  1. Grind: Use a medium-to-fine grind size; noting too fine of a grind could clog parts and prevent flow.
  2. Unscrew upper body of Moka Pot from base and remove funnel.
  3. Fill the base chamber with warm water just below the safety valve.
  4. Fill funnel to the rim with coffee grounds. Level off, but do not tamp or press grounds.
  5. Insert funnel into base chamber and tightly secure upper body to base with a firm twist.
  6. Place Moka Pot over low-to-medium heat and at edge of burner, positioning handle away from heat source.
  7. After -5 minutes, coffee should begin dripping from the stem into the upper chamber.  a) If coffee begins to sputter, turn your heat down. b) If coffee is not flowing or flowing very slowly, turn the heat up slightly.
  8. Adjust heat as necessary to maintain consistent flow and open lid to check completion. Brew is complete when coffee is no longer dripping into the upper chamber.
  9. Remove Moka Pot from heat and serve. Note: Handle may be hot. Moka Pot will be extremely hot after brewing. Allow to cool completely before cleaning.
  10. Enjoy!
