Gordini, a leader in cold weather innovation since 1956, introduces the Forge heated gloves with clim8 technology for Fall/Winter 2023/24. Clim8 heat technology monitors and warms the hands like a thermostat, automatically turning heat on and off according to the user’s needs and body temperature. The brand will also expand its Thindown gloves collection, add three styles within its Front Line backcountry collection, and update existing styles with bluesign APPROVED materials.

FORGE Intelligently Heated Gloves

The Forge heated gloves utilize AI-based, intelligent heating that thermoregulates in real-time according to user profile, activity, and temperature. When the Forge gloves are programmed using a paired smartphone app, the heating system automatically reads the user’s body temperature and maintains a steady and comfortable level of warmth. The smart gloves power on and off as needed, preserving battery life and maximizing comfort.

Gordini Introduces Their First Ever Dual-Layer Sock

Gordini is entering the performance sock category for Fall 2023 with the introduction of both ski and hiking socks for women and men. Having invested in an Italian knitting technology that allows for strategic placement of yarns for dynamic performance and comfort, Gordini will bring these proprietary knitting applications, previously limited to medical accessories, to the outdoor industry.

The Gordini sock collection features the exclusive SoleKNIT dual-layer construction and OrbitKNIT ribbing technology. SoleKNIT layered technology leverages the functional performance of premium fibers and isolates their application to the appropriate zone of the foot, such that a soft, moisture-wicking interior could be combined with a strong, durable exterior. The construction merges two distinct fiber layers together into a single knit to create a quilted effect, increasing thermal benefits, as well as breathability and moisture transfer. Additionally, all socks will feature OrbitKNIT ribbing technology. The cuff or leg of the sock expands to all shapes and sizes from the structural pattern of the knit rather than the sole reliance on elastic yarns. This mechanical stretch offers a comfortable and secure fit that stays put without constriction or unpleasant sock marks. Each of the new Gordini performance sock styles will feature a single-seam construction that closes at the toe, preventing hot spots, friction, and bunching.

“While we have been innovating performance outdoor gear for several decades, to enter the sock category, we needed to set ourselves apart,” said Gordini President David Gellis. “After years of exploring tooling, technologies, and innovations, we found a game-changing knit that had previously only been used for medical purposes. We saw great potential to leverage its performance, fit, and comfort benefits with our outdoor users. Gordini’s mission has always been to keep you outside longer, and every detail of these socks is designed to do just that.”

Gordini’s sock collection offers four ski and four hiking socks for men and women in varying weights, ranging from the Sterling, a heavyweight, over-the-calf ski sock, to the Eden lightweight hike crew sock and the ultralight Ripton ski sock. Other design features in the collection include padded shin panels, ankle protection, instep compression for increased circulation, bolstered arch support to prevent foot fatigue, secure heel pockets for frictionless fit, and a full terry cushion throughout the sock.
