Peak Design Updates Out Front Bike Mount For 35mm Bars

For 2 years, the Peak Design Out Front Bike Mount has been one of Peak’s most popular mobile accessories and an important mobile ecosystem entry point for many customers. In response to feedback from customers and dealers, Peak has updated the Out Front Bike Mount to now support 35mm handlebars (in addition to the other standard bar sizes it already supported), making it a great solution for an even broader range of cyclists (especially mountain bikers).

The Out Front Bike Mount’s shape, appearance, and features will remain virtually unchanged, minus some very small aesthetic tweaks. But Peak is updating the SKU so customers and dealers will be able to identify the new 35mm compatible model.

  • OFBM V1: works with bars sized ⅞”, 1″, 1-¼”
  • OFBM V2: works with the above + 35mm bars

People can use the Universal Bar Mount for other use cases (refer to the bottom of the post). The UBM uses a silicone band rather than the OFBM’s rigid clamp and will likely jostle around when biking over bumpier terrain – hence the OFBM V2 update.

Out Front Bike Mount

The streamlined yet rugged Out Front Bike Mount lets you rigidly mount your phone to your bike’s handlebars, access it instantly, and even flip it up to film your ride. Built from ultralight machined/anodized aluminum, the Out Front Bike Mount features an ultra-strong magnetic/mechanical mounting technology (called SlimLink) that grabs and locks so effortlessly it feels like magic.

Remove your phone instantly with the press of a button. Designed to hold your phone in front of your handlebars for optimized viewing, it can also be configured to sit below or behind your handlebars to accommodate bike computers. An included thumbscrew lets you reposition your phone on the fly to film your ride. An included accessory mount enables you to attach a bike light or action camera. Whether a quick commute or a century ride down gravel trails, the Out Front Bike Mount keeps your phone safe and viewable.

The bike mount provides many attachment positions, the best being the out-in-front mode. It offers a magnetic attachment and a security lock to keep your valuable phone on the mount. You can screw on an optional Go Pro mount on the bottom of the bike mount to attach a camera or a bike light. I’ve taken it down some gnarly terrain, and the phone has never popped off. On super rare occasions when I get caught out without a bike light, I could twist the mount upwards until my iPhone light could help me see (barely.)

  • Requires a Peak Design Case or Universal Adapter (sold separately).
  • Streamlined bike mount for phone mounting and even filming during the ride
  • The included accessory lets you attach a bike light
  • Sizing collars for 22.2mm, 25.4mm, 31.8mm, and 35mm
  • $69.95
