Motive Sunglasses
The new Motive sunglass from SMITH offers full coverage, terrain-defining optics, and performance-packed features.
Comprised of a lightweight, high-impact resistant TR90 nylon frame in a slight wraparound fit, the Motive offers superior protection in a half-frame design for unrestricted peripheral vision. The dual lens construction is offered exclusively in SMITH’s proprietary ChromaPop™ lens technology, delivering enhanced color, clarity, and definition of objects. Each frame comes with two interchangeable lens tints – one for bright sun and a clear option for low-light or night rides – to accommodate variable light conditions that also feature vents in the upper corner of the lenses to help dispel heat and moisture buildup. The addition of smudge and moisture-resistant coatings provides easy cleaning and clear optics.
Auto-lock hinges hold the frames open for easy, one-hand removal of the glasses, and the inclusion of megol temple and nose pads react to perspiration to provide a non-slip grip that won’t bounce while riding. The megol on the nose pads is also adjustable for a more customized fit, which will also regulate airflow as needed.
Optimizing integration, the thin temple design on the Motive frame fits seamlessly into eyewear channels designed into SMITH bike helmet channels for secure storage when worn off the face during rides.

Payroll Helmet
Lightweight Half Shell Design for Enduro, Trail, and e-MTB rides
Drop into banked corners and confidently roll flowy singletracks in Smith’s new Payroll helmet. The half-shell design offers complete coverage and the most advanced protection technologies for enduro, trail, and e-MTB rides.
The lightweight in-mold construction houses internal zonal Koroyd coverage for lightweight, energy-absorbing, and ventilated impact protection, while the addition of the MIPS Brain Protection System reduces rotational forces caused by angled impacts to the head in the event of a crash. In addition to CPSC and CE EN 1078 certifications, the Payroll is also NTA-8776 e-bike certified, which tests helmets at higher speeds to support impact protection when riding with motorized assistance.
Designed for ultimate integration with Smith performance eyewear and goggles, the Payroll offers maximum comfort, venting, and storage convenience, including the three-position adjustable visor to accommodate sunglasses or goggles between runs generously.
Additional features include an Iconic+ antimicrobial lining that absorbs perspiration and controls sweat-activated odor during long days on the trail. For convenience, while cruising, Smith’s VaporFit system provides 270-degree fit adjustment so riders can fine-tune comfort on the fly, while 19 fixed vents provide consistent airflow to keep cool. Smith is excited to announce this season that it will add the new Aleck CS crash detection sensor to four of its performance bike helmet models—the Forefront 2 and Payroll for MTB rides and Trace and Triad for road/gravel/XC adventures—furthering its commitment to rider safety. The Smith x Aleck CS helmets are offered in a unique matte black and gray topographic design with co-branded details.

Building on Koroyd’s advanced impact absorption and rotational force protection provided by MIPS technologies incorporated in Smith helmets, the addition of Aleck crash sensors offers next-level protection while on the bike. Integrated directly into a helmet’s fit system, the Aleck sensor measures impact forces, confirming a rider’s status and sending an emergency message with GPS location if necessary.
Connecting via a smartphone app, the Aleck CS links riders to chosen emergency contacts as well as any other Aleck app users within a 1.8-mile radius. No subscription is required to access basic crash detection features.
Aleck and Smith have previously collaborated to bring an award-winning audio and communication system for skiers and snowboarders to the global market. This is the first project launch specific to cycling, as Smith is the first brand in North America to launch bike helmets featuring integrated Aleck CS.
