POC released the new Motion Air Long Sleeve MTB Jersey and Motion Air MTB Shorts. POC gear (helmets, apparel, eyewear) has always been well-made, well-engineered, and utilizes highly technical materials.
The Motion Air lineup is available in men’s and women’s versions, and also includes a Short-Sleeve Jersey and a 3/4-Sleeve jersey.

Thanks to the jersey’s mesh construction, you won’t ever feel like you’ll overheat, no matter how hard you are pushing on the trails. The material quickly and effectively wicks away body moisture, keeping you comfortable for your ride. The jersey is cut with a saddle shoulder for a clean, refined appearance, ultimate comfort, and freedom of movement while in the riding position. Loose enough to fit body protection underneath yet tight enough not to hang away from the body while riding, it is a natural choice when you want to ride all day without having to think about your clothing choices.
Impressions => The Motion Air L/S Jersey provides excellent sun protection while ventilating and wicking moisture on even the warmest days. The mesh material provided outstanding air flow, keeping me well-ventilated and dry, even while wearing a pack. Although the material appeared to be lightweight, it has proven to be durable, and I haven’t experienced any tears, snags, or pilling issues.
The jersey features a loose cut, with a drop tail and long sleeves that provide additional coverage when extended over the bars. I never felt like my arms or back poked out while maneuvering around on the bike.
It comes in five colorways, but I liked the Bauxite Brown color. It features a somewhat lighter tone on the main body and a subtle, darker tint on the sleeves and shoulders.
All in all, it is an excellent long-sleeved jersey, simple, highly breathable, wickable, comfortable, well-made, and colorful.

Designed to keep you pedaling in absolute comfort on any trail, even in the warmest weather, the Motion Air Shorts are durable, stretchy, and ventilated, providing everything you need for optimal performance. A slightly shorter leg length helps you feel the breeze as you pedal, yet the shorts are still long enough to pair perfectly with knee pads without leaving a gap. Tiny perforations in the fabric around the inner thigh and crotch further enhance airflow for ultimate comfort throughout the day.
Extra details, such as shaping the pockets to fall to the side of the thigh rather than sitting on top, ensure you can pedal comfortably for the whole day. A hidden adjustment belt makes it easy to find a perfect fit while providing a clean, unfussy appearance.
Impressions => The Motion Air Shorts are lightweight, durable, water-resistant, stretchy, breathable, and comfortable.
The shorts feature a perforated zone on the inside of the leg and crotch for improved airflow, comfort, and breathability. The material features a water-repellent treatment, allowing water to bead off the shorts in light rain, splashing through a stream, and so on. Other notable features include reverse hand pockets (which keep contents on the side of the thighs) and ample room for knee protectors.
Although the waist adjustment band was easy to operate and offered a secure fit, I found the buckle and strap system hung in the way on my hips, and I would have preferred something simpler.
The rear of the shorts features a tall riser, providing additional coverage up the back. Although the inseam appears somewhat short, it effectively prevents knee pads from catching on things.
