Upon moving to Bellingham, Washington, I was told that fall lasts a really long time, and that is proving to be true. Mid-November and red leaves still cling, temps are cool but not cold, clouds lay moody and low. One thing I love about fall is fall clothes! The Wild Rye Holly Jersey is a go-to for me in this weather. It’s lightweight, but it’s not a sun shirt, so it brings some insulation to the game. It’s also not so heavy that you’ll need to wring it out at the top of a climb. The jersey is a merino/poly blend, so it’s durable, stretchy, and odor-resistant. I appreciate that the fit is loose but not overly baggy. With no back pockets, it doesn’t bill itself as a bike-specific layer. I can hike or run in it or even layer it under a sweater for an evening out. (Yay for sweater weather!)

The design of the Holly jersey features mesh panels along the sides for breathability.

The logo is subtle and cute. And again, it doesn’t scream bike jersey. It’s a do-anything layer. And thank you, Wild Rye, for the loop so I can hang this shirt on a hook, let it dry out, and wear it again. Odor resistance means I can get a couple of wears in while I wait for laundry day. Your clothes will survive longer with just a little less washing. Pair the Holly jersey with the Freyah bike pants and you’ll be GTG.
Available in Purple Haze, Shaded Spruce, and True Black, size range 0 to 18
