Thoughts => The Vantage 2 MIPS helmet is super comfy, soft, and fits like a charm. I am at the tail end of the Large sizing (59-63cm), but it fits my big noggin just fine. I really dig the wild Matte Black/Ultraviolet/Emerald City color scheme; it definitely stands out without being too noxious. The three-piece hybrid shell offers a plethora of safety features, including the energy-absorbing Koroyd coverage protection and the Mips rotational safety system.
The micro-adjustable BOA 360 dial fit system works well, though turning the somewhat thin dial is difficult without removing your gloves. The chin strap used the excellent Fidlock buckle, which provided one-handed operation and lessened the risk of the buckle getting caught in a beard/whiskers.
The helmet kept me warm and cozy on cold and snowy ski days and fit a balaclava without any issues. It functioned perfectly on both cold and sunny days, highlighting the excellent ventilation system and its integrated 40 vents. The dual regulator climate control system offers two sets of ventilation sliders: one for the front and side ports and one for the top of the helmet. The synergy of the two sliders provides superb temperature control and a good amount of throughput variation.
The helmet’s interior Ionic+ antimicrobial lining was soft, and the ear covers were nicely padded and had zippered slots for Aleck audio pods (not tested).
