The Trail 2652 marks the next evolution of Danner’s universally loved trail hiker. Most notably, the Trail 2652 is fully recraftable — when components eventually wear down after years of adventure, Danner has a dedicated team of boot recrafters ready to resole, refurbish, and revive your trusted Trail 2652s, preserving the journey you’ve taken and the journey yet to come.
Key updates include a nitrogen-infused EnduroFoam footbed that delivers an energy-returning, agile ride that resists compression over time. Combined with the new shock-absorbing, drainable Plyolite EVA midsole, the Trail 2562 is three ounces lighter than the original. The EXO Heel System—a major contributor to the original version’s blister-free performance out of the box—has been redefined. Now with a sleeker, external design, the heel counter system secures the heel and provides blister-free comfort in a more polished, streamlined aesthetic. The outsole has been updated to Vibram’s best-in-class 505 Megagrip, providing reliable grip wherever the trail takes you. Finally, sizing has been extended (see below for more details) to enable more adventurers to Go There with comfort and confidence.
Carry-over features include a lightweight, durable suede upper, TRAILGUARD platform with an exposed TPU shank, and an 8mm heel-to-toe drop. Fans of the original Trail 2650 need not worry — the Trail 2652 will look and feel very familiar while improving performance, reducing weight, and streamlining areas ripe for innovation.

Constructed with a lightweight mesh and textile upper, the Trail 2198 emphasizes breathability and flexibility, and the lighter, more shock-absorbing Vibram 217 outsole with Megagrip delivers a swift, nimble underfoot feel for big mile days.
On par with its companion, the Trail 2198 is fully recraftable and features the energy-returning EnduroFoam footbed. Other similarities include the streamlined EXO Heel System, TRAILGUARD platform with an exposed TPU shank and the drainable Danner® Plyolite EVA midsole. Lastly, the Trail 2198 is also available in extended sizing.
