For fast descents on a bike or full coverage on a run, the new Syncline from SMITH offers goggle-like coverage in the lightweight fit and feel of a sunglass. The performance-focused eyewear features a barely-there rimless design with a unique, integrated bumper on the frame to ensure chatter-free interface when worn with a helmet. The addition of ChromaPop optics provides unobstructed, high-contrast vision for season after season of boundless adventures.
Comprised of lightweight, durable Evolve bio-based frame material in a slight wraparound fit, the Syncline offers superior protection with extra-large sun and glare coverage. The 5-base cylindrical shield lens is offered exclusively in SMITH’s proprietary ChromaPop™ lens technology, delivering enhanced color, clarity, and object definition, with a Photochromic Clear to Gray option that naturally adapts the lens tint with available UV protection for a variety of conditions. Each frame comes with two interchangeable lenses – one for bright sun and a clear option for low-light or night adventures – to accommodate variable conditions. The addition of smudge and moisture-resistant lens coatings provides easy cleaning and clear optics.
The frames are also compatible with the new ODS5 Prescription Sunglass Adaptor, which seamlessly accommodates corrective vision needs. The lightweight adaptor easily snaps into the nose piece while maintaining a full field of view and lens interchangeability, and won’t scratch the sunglass lens.
Auto-lock hinges hold the frames open for easy, one-hand removal of the glasses, and the inclusion of megol temple and nose pads reacts to perspiration to provide a non-slip grip that won’t bounce while on the move. The megol on the nose pads is also adjustable for a more customized fit and will regulate airflow by positioning the glasses slightly away from the face to minimize lens fogging during high-energy activities. The addition of a slight gap between the frame and the lens also allows moisture to vent.
