Just In – Leatt DBX 4.0 Jersey and Shorts

The Leatt DBX 4.0 Jersey and Shorts are the middle brethren of their apparel lineup, smack between the ultra rugged freeride oriented DBX 5.0 and more standard All Mountain DBX 3.0. They feature four-way stretch materials and the shorts have an extended cut and offer rough water resistant fabrics while the jersey uses as open mesh fabric with excellent breathability and wicking properties.

DBX 4.0 Ultraweld Jersey

Made to be a lighter layer of protection than the DBX 5.0 jersey, the DBX 4.0 bicycle jersey is made of ultra-light, four-way stretch mesh fabric that is MoistureCool wicking and has air channels. Its athletic stretch fit makes it perfect to be worn with or without body armor, and it is neck brace compatible. The elbows of the jersey are reinforced with brush guard, an ultra-thin flex film that is feather-light and increases scratch and abrasion resistance properties. It has tape bonded seams to make it super comfortable and has bar tack stitching for critical reinforcement. For added comfort, it has silicone print inside so that it can grip to the Leatt bicycle pants.

It comes in Black/Grey, Orange/Teal, Fule/White color schemes and XS, S, M, L, XL sizes and retails for $69.99.

First Impressions

They utilize a light open mesh material for breathability and wicking and it features a four-way stretch for comfort, and the elbows have brush guard reinforcements for durability. It has a single side zippered pocket for small items, and the inside of it has a microfiber wiper fabric for cleaning goggles and sunglasses.

Made of four-way stretch material, the 4.0 bicycle shorts are water resistant and has a dirt/water repellent coating. It is still breathable and has laser-cut ventilations holes to keep you cool regardless of the riding conditions. Made to be worn with your other gear, its knees offer a pre-curved 3D fit that will avoid snagging during pedaling, even when worn with your knee protectors. For added comfort, its seat area is made of a three-layer, laminated seat area that is both seamless and durable. It has a soft touch waist lining and a back gripper that will prevent seat drop during riding.

The DBX 4.0 Shorts utilize tough and rugged materials for durability and feature four-way stretch in strategic locations to make them comfortable while the interior is mesh lined for breathability and wicking. With an exceptionally long cut, they offer coverage down over the knees and that have slippery material at the hem, so they’ll glide over armor while pedaling. The zippered thigh pockets are incredibly deep and offer plenty of room and security for items.  The waist is softly padded, and the rear section has several grippy silicone sections to help keep the shorts in place, and it has two side Velcro adjusters to fine tune the fit.
