Ultimate Directions has the SCRAM alpine climbing pack, the HydroLight apparel series with integrated mini water bottles, the HALO minimalist lightest vest, the women’s Fastpacks, and the trick carbon FK Trekking Pole.
The SCRAM is Ultimate Directions sleekest alpine climbing pack (with UD’s running DNA) that you will find. It goes trail to the crag, trail to ski, running to biking and more in one 20L package. Developed with Tony Krupicka in Boulder, the Flatirons, RMNP and Eldorado Canyon.
The HydroLight Series is a disrupter. The HydroLight is apparel with bottle pockets built-in to the shorts, tights, and tops (the tops are women’s only). No bounce or stretch, this apparel is lightweight and carries two 300 ML bottles. It won’t bounce, and it’s not noticeable.
The women’s top is light and airy, with plenty of mesh for breathability along with the two 300 ML bottles on the back hips.
The HALO is their lightest vest with the most storage ever. The 11 liters of compression-only storage (no zippers or straps) in a men’s style and women’s style. Built for UTMB and in an all black colorway.
Women’s Fastpacks: their Fastpack series for hiking, running, overnight and multi-day trips is one of their best sellers. They’ve added two women’s specific styles with updated access features.
The FK (Fastest Known) Trekking Pole shaft is 20mm in diameter at the top, and increasing the diameter doesn’t just increase the strength proportionally, it squares the strength, and cubes the increase in stiffness. Additionally, the shaft is tapered toward the bottom for beautifully smooth swing weight, and the lower 20cm of the poles are wrapped with Aramid fabric to resist damage from rocks. There are no moving parts that may break, or that add weight and cost: the pole’s fixed length makes it the strongest, lightest and most reliable in existence. They weigh 4 ounces each (8 @ pair), making for an ultra light and ultra sturdy pole.
