I love this stuff, and it helps prevent rash, chafing, and discomfort on rides, especially on longer escapades and when it’s hot out. It doesn’t damage clothes, is user-friendly to your skin, and washes off nicely, without any staining or residue on the chamois. It dramatically improves riding comfort and can soothe already chafed or irritated skin, which often happens when you ride regularly.
Also, it not just for cyclists, as it lubricates, soothes, and softens the skin of all athletes who experience chafing, including hikers, runners, etc. Just apply it liberally to skin and chamois before each ride, as it’s useful for any skin areas that rub together or against clothing. I found rubber gloves work excellently for rubbing into the nether regions.
Chamois Butt’r Coconut Anti-Chafe Cream prevents uncomfortable friction while riding, restores the softness and suppleness of natural and synthetic chamois padding, and washes off your skin and clothing easily with soap and water. In other words, it keeps your bottom comfy and happy from the irritation caused by sitting on a bike saddle and pedaling.

I squirted the Skin Wash directly onto a cloth, adding just enough to dampen things without over soaking the cloth. You can apply the fluid directly onto your skin, but I found it was harder to get the correct amount, and it would sometimes dribble off. Using a cloth provided a much more accurate wash usage, and you could then easily clean multiple spots.
The cloth offered an excellent way to scrub your skin with the Skin Wash fluid to remove crud and sweat. After wiping your skin with the cloth, if offered cleaner and fresher skin. It removed oil, lotion, sunscreen, grime, sweat, and other stuff from your skin and body without having to rub too hard. The wash left a light hint of Menthol and Peppermint Oil smell on your skin that would eventually dissipate, without any lingering smell. I tended to use it on my arms, face, neck, and a quick rub-a-dub for heavy perspiration areas under the armpits and the lower back. If you missed a spot and needed a refresh, it was easy to repeat the process.
The Chamois Butt’r Skin Wash is perfect for a cyclist, or any outdoor athlete, for a light clean-up when a shower or water is unavailable. I didn’t have to resort to the old baby wipe method for cleaning up! For bikepacking, hiking, and backpacking, you can place the fluid into a small sealed container for trail usage.
