In late 2021, Finish Line made a commitment to remove fluoropolymers from its formulations by the end of 2022. They are excited to announce that they have been able to do so ahead of schedule and with no compromise to the performance of the affected products.
Three of Finish Lines top selling products, Dry Lube, Showroom Polish, and Pedal & Cleat Lubricant, are 100% fluoro-free and feature high-performing Non-Stick Ceramic Technology. The lubricants deliver a lower coefficient of friction and enhanced reduction in component wear. The Showroom Polish with ceramic delivers even better water and grime-repelling properties.
From its inception in 1988, Finish Line has been committed to finding ways to be a responsible steward of the environment. To that end, the solar power plant at the company’s headquarters generates 34% more power than the building consumes. Their small bottles are made of 100% highly recyclable PET plastic, and their large bottles are made using recycled PET. Their chain lubricants, degreasers, and wash products are all biodegradable, they don’t contain Prop 65 carcinogens, and they are VOC compliant in all 50 states. Their ongoing R&D efforts are centered on finding cleaner, safer, and more environmentally friendly technologies.
