Yakima was showing their HangTight Vertical Hitch Bike Rack, the StageTwo Premium Tray Hitch Rack, and the GateKeeper Truck Tailgate Pad for bikes. The EXO modular system gets the innovative OpenRange cooking system.
HangTight Vertical Hitch Bike Rack
The HangTight is a space-saving vertical rack for any adventure. Unique and original engineering carries up to six bikes by the handlebars. Fully padded cradles support the bike by the handlebar and provide class-leading stability for almost any type of bike. It can carry road bikes, mountain bikes, and downhill bikes. The HangTight comes in either a 4 or 6 bike version.
Dual padded cradles securely hold and protect bikes from one another.
The Rotating rear wheel cup fits a wide range of wheelbases. And the foot-operated tilt makes it easy to access the rear of the vehicle.
A Built-in lock loop for the rider’s own bike lock.
You can also get an optional cradle for bikes with a downhill dual crown fork.
StageTwo Premium Tray Hitch Rack
StageTwo is more than capable of carrying precious cargo to the trailhead with its premium features and heavy-duty strength. It’s designed to decrease bike-to-bike interference with StadiumSeating style trays, as well as maximizing ground clearance. A newly designed lacking SpeedKnobTM makes install easier than ever. Forward-facing remote tilt lever grants simple trunk area access, while integrated locking cables, as well as the user’s own lock, provide tenacious security. (Approved for RV and Off-Road use).
It comes in two colors, 2″ and 1.25″ hitch versions, and an extension for two more bikes (four total.) Optional accessories include a Fat Bike Kit, SafetyMate, and RampUp, which offers a ramp to roll a heavy e-Bike onto the trays.
StadiumSeating and adjustable bike trays minimize bike-to-bike interference.
Full-length trays are designed for modern bikes of all sizes, including road, mountain, fat tire, and e-bikes.
Lock Bracket and Tilt Lever
It has an integrated lock bracket and an ergonomic, forward-facing remote tilt lever with an action release that tilts the loaded rack forward. The newly designed ergonomic SpeedKnob is easier to use and looks good too.
GateKeeper Truck Tailgate Pad
The GateKeeper tailgate pad is a perfect companion for pickup bed bike transport. The durable, padded nylon exterior protects your bike from your truck’s tailgate, while the soft felt backing keeps your truck’s paint protected. Integrated SitTight bike cradles add extra stability and protection for your bikes, and the HindSight tuck-away cover opens up the view for your backup camera, leaving you with a worry-free shuttle to the top.
A special edition GateKeeper Cascade Blue will have printed graphics and a silver reflective Yakima logo.

EXO System
The main starting and foundation piece is the EXO SwingBase, which will only fit into a 2-inch receiver due to the system’s weight constraints. The SwingBase has two articulating arms that fold out for mounting for any of the accessories, including the GearWarrior basket, BackDeck tabletop, GearLocker cargo box, SnowBank ski carrier, and the DoubleUp bike carrier, and the new OpenRange. The SwingBase swings away from the vehicle, providing access to the rear without things getting in the way. You can also add the EXO TopShelf to the back of the SwingBase, which will then provide you with the second level of gear storage for the system. The LitKit provides tail lights and a lighted license plate holder since the accessories might cover up your vehicle’s current system.
