Industry Nine is excited to announce their partnership with Shimano to offer Micro Spline compatible freehubs. As the first North American hub manufacturer to receive the license, they will support their customers interested in Shimano’s new XTR M9100 group and any subsequent products that may use the Micro Spline freehub profile. As with all Industry Nine hub components, they will produce the freehubs at their facility in Asheville, NC.

Thoughts => Our friends over at Industry Nine have won the lottery by getting a license for the Shimano Micro Spline compatible freehubs. Industry Nine makes highly engineered hubs with high POE that are durable, well made and bicycle jewelry, and now having the ability to create Micro Spline freehubs for future hubs and as an upgrade for existing customers is a win-win situation. Congrats!

Industry Nine will be offering Micro Spline freehubs as an option on all of our current mountain bike wheelsets and hubs and as a service component for any existing Torch series mountain hub. Micro Spline will be available to ship by the end of 2018.

“We are happy to build on our relationship with Shimano and flattered to be one of the few brands offered a license for Micro Spline. This partnership allows our brand to continue offering all major axle and drivetrain specs – which riders have come to expect from Industry Nine.”  – Jacob McGahey, Vice President
